Anyone have an alternative to the wits end offset axle seal driver?

seems like wits end has gone MIA with my money

We use a standard seal driver with a washer that matches the seal OD (50mm) under the bolt of the seal driver. Pretty sure it was a hack Tools R Us shared with me many moons ago. RIP dude!

ha, perfect timing. I was just perusing the forums contemplating how I could best do this while installing the rebuild kit I just got from you fine folks @cruiseroutfit. Thanks!

SOLD

Selling my offset driver. Used once for my rebuild, and since no longer have the truck. I'm tempted to turn it into an honor-system "traveling seal driver," but maybe you guys can just keep selling it for a few bucks when you're done.

Was going to post in classifieds, but thought this was better. Looking for $25 shipped US. First come first serve by order of message received.

perfect thank you! didnt know these existed but I probably should have done more searching.

The Terrain Tamer kits are good, but the felts are really thick. It takes three hands to get the retainer covers back on. And once you do, the swivel torque increases dramatically. I'd recommend you check the trunnion bearing turning torque before and after you screw the half moons back on.
Yup! Just did this…..very noticeable.

The only way to install that same clip is to "deform" it with pliers.

It doesn't have a duty cycle of one. As an engineer, I have zero issues calling it a reusable clip. This same finding is exactly why every kit on the market from Japan, Australia, India, etc doesn't include those.

I'll definitely mention it to our sales team to offer up. We dont want people short parts to finish a project, particularly when it's a part (FACL31007) we have on the shelf by the hundred. It's never made it to our FAQ guide for the same reason but it's easy to add and mention. We are very transparent with photos and descriptions of what is included... we will continue to be that way.

Full disclaimer. I don't know that I've ever had someone feel slighted that wasn't included in 30 years of selling tens of thousands of kits? Your absolutely right our "kit" (or all the others on the market) don't cover ever single part that could be needed. It's legitimately not on the 'top 10' of things we've been told shoulda/coulda been in the kit so I have no plans to add it, rather make sure we add it to the FAQ and sales team education.

The feedback is great and I definitely don't consider it character assassination. Our kits have the same (but Japanese) or more parts than TrailGear/Miku/Karsons/TrailTamer/Driveteq, etc so we all have room to improve in an attempt to cover 100% of the needs 100% of customers may encounter.
Welp…..I needed 4 lock nuts (adjuster and Lock) and 2 snap rings. (The Lock nuts and adjuster nuts were mangled and the snap rings were loose and falling off) You guys had them and I paid $$$$$ for UPS “Next Day Air”. I needed the parts to complete the last steps. “Next Day Air” has no turned into “5 day AIR” due to “weather issues” in Louisville. UPS has clearly dropped the ball. Working to try to get a refund on the difference between standard and Next Day Air. Thank you for the email correspondence as well and I will be glad when the parts get here (UPS says Monday 😠)

Ah man, sorry to hear that. Come on UPS 😔 It sounds like you have already reached out to our team and they are working on it? If not I'll get them on it Monday AM.

Yes, an email chain of communications has been started. Definitely not happy at all with UPS, frieght dogs couldn’t give 2 s***s about weather…boxes don’t scream. Thank you again for the parts.

That sucks… a mud friend and I very recently had a go around with FedEx …no happy ending there either
