Updated with part numbers and a few more tips. I also saved it as a .pdf and attached that to make printing easier.

Excellent job. Thanks for the PDF.

Not to be a PITA but I would "color code" in the reverse order. Red being REPLACE, etc.... Just a thought. Green doesn't trigger in my brain replace.

Awesome. Thank you. I will be using this quite soon. Like the diagram - Perfect.

Ha, well you'd probably figure it out once you got the bill for ordering new birfs, shafts, and spindles!

Wow, great tool to have. And timely, as I'm just about to dive into this... I think. Thanks!

Extra cool. I am going to to print these in color and put them with the 1000+ page hardcopy FSM I also printed. Many thanks!

Thank you for the data mining.

Well done!!!!! and thanks:beer:

Love the cheat sheet for the front. Can you upload the rear pdf file also? This way, I can have Kinko's print out in color on both sides and laminate. I don't got a color printer, :-(

I did something similar when I recently rebuilt my front axle but I used a pen. Yours puts mine to shame - thanks for sharing. Its been printed, laminated and put in my FSM 'cliff notes' binder. The only thing I added to mine was '2.5 - 3 tubes of valvoline palladium per side' 'mobil 1 bearing grease for wheel/trunion bearings.'

Awesome job!!!! Thanks. But I can't figure out how to email the pdf to my work email(no printer @ home) & can't get on MUD on work computer. FML!

Right click on his pdf link, select "save link as", save it to your desktop. Then email it to yourself at work. Or open the document and I think you can email if from adopey acrobat.

Added the rear PDF

By the way Darkness, I found both of these documents to be extremely useful when I did my rebuilds recently. I printed them in B/W so I wouldn't have to worry about colors.

I found a couple more torque values you may wish to add in a future rev.
Brake Bleeder 8 ft-lb (maybe too anal, I don't use a torque wrench on these)
Tie rod adjustment clamps 27 ft-lb ( and angle somewhat important)

I didn't see mention of the size of the 54mm socket

My 1996 FSM shows 3.0 US Quarts (2.8 liter) for the front diff w/o diff lock. I've seen the 2.9 in other places (FAQ, etc), but mine took 3 quarts, maybe a wee bit more, and I was getting worried when I saw 2.9 was the target number. I think the math conversion from metric is 2.95 quarts.

Thanks for putting this together! You saved me a bunch of time and leafing through the FSM with greasy paws!

You're welcome! I'll try to revise it with some of the various suggestions this weekend.

Could someone please show a hot babe doing a front/rear axle job? I'd like to see all greasy while holding a drippy birfield :)

Well done!

Besides the ABS sensor not being present on my rig, is there any reason I should NOT also leverage these cheaters for my '92??
