Does anybody know if the FRP top window frames are the same as the hard top? I remember Crushers installed stainless steel frames into one of his customers BJ70's. I thought they were after market or custom built at the time but maybe they were sourced from a newer 70's??

From what I can tell there are a few difference the biggest being the shape. I know mine the top corners are squared off and come to a point where the hard top frames appear to have rounded corners and from pictures I've looked at it looks like front and rear ( top to bottom sections) are angle different. I'm not sure if there is a size difference between the two tho so you may be able to fabricate one to fit with a little cutting and welding or fiberglassing to the roof

What about the window frames from an HZJ74? Or are they the same discontinued part number?

As far as I know any FRP frames would work. Hardtop frames are not even close.

Oof, never mind I just realized the parts are for short wheel base but the hzj73 is MWB. Somehow the folks sold me this, without either of us knowing it’s the wrong part. Because I was / am such a noob I didn’t realize HZJ70 didn’t include all hzj trucks.

Fold down windshield for a fold down 70 should be the same as the 73/74
