Control your phone through the deck wirelessly, talk hands free through the car stereo

Anyone with pictures of the Jensen mounted in the single din 60 spot?

$250 for a deck that doesnt play CD's MP3', no USB.....and its a JENSEN.

I just got a Pioneer CD/MP3/USB/Aux plus 4 -6.5 inch 2 way speakers for $85 brand new from walmart!
Boy how times have changed!

I've got a big hole in the dash where the tape deck once was... so anything would be better than a hole with wires in it.

This worked for me (with Jensen in da Tuffy) ...

Spike, that is a REALLY cool idea. Does that big-a$$ed push button control a winch, or what does it do?

EDIT: Sorry for the diversion from the thread's intent. I guess there already is a "What should I put in this hole" thread...

Oh, never thought someone might think that's a button --

It's just a 12V power outlet (cig lighter) with a map light (marine store) in it. Works great for finding stuff that falls, at night. I wired the power outlet with 10ga so I could use it to power a smallish inverter, also.

I've also found that as a cell-charger, it works great keeping the cords away from tangling in the shifters.

Hehe...looks like one of those big old school chrome push buttons to me. You know, the ones they used to use for horns and stuff. Well, maybe you don't. Anyway, the 12v outlet is even better. Thanks for posting that up.

Looking at your sig line ... When was the '74 stolen ? (sorry of the HJ) ...

last year i purchased a sony a/m f/m cd , mp3 connection with 2 6x9 and 2 8" round speakers as a package for under a $100

CANT BEAT WALMART

In August. I think the friend/fabricator that I entrusted it to is behind it, but I have no proof. I'm out a lot of money/time, but Georg of Valley Hybrids is helping to make me a happy 60 owner.

Back on topic, I debated on whether to buy the Jensen set up but decided on an Alpine with BT add on. Since the CD player skips with the mount angle of the Tuffy, I half way wish I just bought the non-CD Jensen with USB mentioned in this thread. It is what it is, though, and ultimately, I use the IPOD all the time anyway...

I'll keep an eye-or-two-out ... I'm always scouring CL for parts for my '74...

HJ over

Does anybody know where to buy this head-unit (Jensen Heavy Duty JHD1620B). I can't find it anywhere, I know it is discontinued but I thought maybe there maybe one or two left somewhere. If not, has anyone ran across an equivalent? (simple OEM look, green back light, heavy duty...)

JHD 1510

bummer its not still green ... but with ipod and SIRIUS who needs a CD player any way .... I have a Sony with the Ipod dock I never play CD's anymore it's all on my phone(Iphone) anyway why carry CD's that take up space ;p
