Since the junkyard thread is closed:
I stopped by Capital Scrap in Santa today and they have an 89 fj62 with most of the 3fe stuff there and birfs hanging from the housing. No diffs.

Also an FJ80 with no 3fe still with front and rear axles (semi-float, no abs), tranny, tcase. I forgot to check for driveshafts.

Maybe the best part there was an early 40-series gas tank with nary a spot of rust on the outside, it was in amazing shape. Sitting in the back seat of 80. Bodies were thrashed on both rigs.

Since the junkyard thread is closed:

In case folks haven't noticed ... threads that are idle get automatically closed. It appears I can reopen them.

That said, I can always use extra 3FE bits.

Need a carier barring for a '89 Pickup, any leads?

I think you are out of luck. The Taco didn't come out until 1995.

Sorry, pickup would be what they called them. I'm just used to the Tacoma "pickup". So scratch the taco out and write pickup. I sure you know what i was refering to, smartass!
Nevermind, did that already.

No I didn't know that. Actually I assumed you transposed 1998.

Well now you know it's an '89 '89 (writing it twice for clarification) PICKUP. But my question still stands.

Hi,

My name is Michael Leahy and I work for http://www.truckspring.com. I came across your links page and wanted to suggest you take a look at our website, I think it is of interest to your users. We sell towing equipment and suspension parts for many Toyota Land Cruiser models. We carry major brands like Bilstein shocks.

If you could add us to your link page that would be great. We would fit best under the category PRODUCTS AND SUPPLIERS.

We look forward to hearing from you. If you do not manage the site please forward this email to the administrator.

Thanks,
Michael Leahy

1FZ-FE on CL

No association, but it would be cool to see an FZJ40. If I did not have a fresh 3FE sitting in my garage I would really consider this. Just out of curiostiy is there a bellhousing that would mate this too an H41/42/55?

No. It won't mate.

I didnt think so and the H151 is unobtanium, but I remeber a thread about a 1FZFE mated to a Tacoma 6 Speed, with a Orion to boot. Eitherway I have enough on my plate for now.

That was Brian Jowett's rig. He ended up selling it almost immediately after finishing the build. When that happens, my assumption is that there wasn't enough R & D on the front end about what the final product would look like.
