The 40 has been stabled

My wife thinks it is hilarious I use the stable to put my 40 in. Who needs horses when you have a tractor!!!!

Here are some more...

You're killing me Jeff. I took pictures of my 60 today so maybe I'll be calling you soon in case I get lucky and find a buyer for mine in the near future.

1987 FJ60 Rust Free

Most of you know my truck already but just in case a few people haven't, here is. I'm asking $5,500. Here's a list of a few basic details:

*266,590 Miles
*Bought as a salvage unit in 2003 w/ 242K miles on it
*Repaired all front end body damage using body parts from 1985 rust free AZ/NM Truck
*Repainted in late 2003 with Toyota 4M9 Cashmere Beige Metallic
*I had Jon run a VIN check and it showed that it has been in Albuquerque since it was brand new (except it lived in Farmington for a couple months)
*The dashboard is 99.9% perfect with one small crack in the speaker grille
*It passed Bernalillo County emissions the last time it was tested in March 2007

Relatively new parts:
31" X 10.5 BFG A/T - about 4 years old with 20K miles on them
OEM Reman Starter about a year ago
OEM Cat-back Exhaust
New OEM Distributor Cap, Rotor and Plugs at 242K miles
K&N Air filter at 242K miles
Rebuilt/reseal Driver steering knuckle, axle seal, trunnion bearings
Replaced Driver rear axle seal and maybe rear brake shoes ??
New aftermarket radiator in 2003
Carburetor overhaul in 2003
Replaced intake/exhaust manifold and under-carb gaskets in 2005
New OEM Distributor Vacuum Advance Device
Installed Reman PS Pump and Air Pump in 2006
New Belts in 2006
New windshield and OEM gasket 2 weeks ago

I have the parts for the 3-point rear seatbelt retrofit but have only installed
the lap retractors because there aren't any nuts welded into the C-pillars
I also have extra seatbelt parts, FJ62 mirrors I haven't installed, a non-bent globebox door, and several other spare parts
I installed a couple of cargo tiedown straps in the crevice between the floor and rear seatback.

I have a bunch more pictures. Send me a PM and any picture requests you might have and I'll email them to you.

Here are some pictures.

I'm the manager of Right Channel Radios (CB Radios & CB Antennas - Cobra, Uniden, Wilson, K40 & Firestik), a Utah-based CB shop that specializes in mobile and 4x4 CB radios and antennas.

a guy with a cb shop in Salt Lake offered a trade of link addresses and a discount for HDC members. contact myself or Jon if you are a paid HDC member and didn't get the discount code.

I placed an order from these folks and everything went smooth. Shipping was a flat $9.95 and the discount was 7.5%, which was just slightly more than the shipping, so it washed out. Shipping time was fairly long, but that was due to UPS. The box was shipped the day I ordered and took a week from SLC (shipped Tuesday, delivered today).

Da'40 now has a Uniden 538.

That's what I'm trying to sell my older 60 with a lot more miles for.

And yours has a salvage title....
You probably need to rethink the asking price for your 60.

No idea what kind of condition either of them are in, they could be wrecks! They are on CL too, could be scams. I hate those scammers...
Daisy

Wonder if they would trade me straight across for the Camry? (or not)

Probably, considering the price of gas now...

Reduce to what?
Selling anything takes a willing seller and a willing buyer. Reduce it to a price that you can sell it for. I don't know what that price should be but Land Cruisers with 100k fewer miles, clean titles, and ~7 years newer are selling for less than your asking price.

Maybe you can ask the guys in the 60-section if that is allowed by the mods.
-Mike-

Mark, you have a nice 60, salvage title or not. Keep the price where it's at and see what happens.

Thanks Jon. Daisy gave the ad a bump yesterday. If any of you would be willing, a few comments from people that have seen it in person might be helpful. Ad Link
