1998 Landcruiser

:) 1998 Land Cruiser Fully loaded with rear diff lock, etc. About 94k right now. IC3 color code, (dark silvery, grey like, metallic) 90k service done at 85k and did new waterpump, tranny flush, etc etc when in shop. (About $2,500 total work) Selling because I no longer need it to commute, I bought an Altima to get back and forth to work. $16,000. Inside very very clean, outside clean with two exceptions, 1. Cracked windshield and 2. a dent in the passenger side fender ($400 quoted from local repair shop to fix) $16,000 fixed or $15,500 as is. bfilson@excite.com or (770) 596-4497. Looking to buy a house soon so I need to get rid of it to save some cash. Never wrecked, clean title. (Lien on it). I can't think of much else, runs great. I can take any pictures you would like and send to a personal address I am about out of space to attach on this server. Thanks for looking. Atlanta, GA Area. Sirius satellite radio included.

How many owners? Service Records?

I am the second owner. I have all service records from the time that I purchased the vehicle. It was purchased from a car dealer and the other records were not included in the glove box. I can tell you that since I have had it if anything it has been maintained on schedule and flawlessly. All major services were done at a local Toyota dealer, oil changes were done by myself.

ahhhh... nice.

couple years older than i was looking for, but seems to be well taken care of and fairly local - not to mention priced decently.

any other pics? some of the interior and all around especially the dent would be beneficial...

Send me your email address to my email or in a PM and I will send some pics tomorrow when I take some with my real camera and not the cell phone. And that goes for anyone else interested as well, I will have more pictures tomorrow.

2500.00 for 90k service? What else was completed?

Joel do you have any pictures of your soft top 25 without a tarp on it. If you email them to me I will try to post them. I still interested but need more pictures.

At 90k I did the following:

Change timing belt, and cam seals.
Change water pump.
Flush coolant
Flush Tranny
Brake work-new pads, etc.
Front bearing repack
Took care of the rattle in heat shield for exhaust
Rotate and balance tires
Alignment
Spark plugs
Clean out throttle body, fuel system, and evap.

I know there was a few more minor things, that I will to look at the invoice for, but I know that is the major stuff that was done.

Went and looked at Joels' 25 yesterday. It is in decent shape. I didn't take any pictures as it was raining. Joel plans on emailing some to those that are interested.

The rear sill is rusted. The fenders need work but are repairable. The underside of the cab has some top rust but I did not see bubbling blisters of rust.
The rig is in decent shape.
I would say it is ion restorable condition. You could probably with some effort get it running in it's present state. The engine looks complete and the seats he scored are nice.

Very tempting to buy it but I better finish the current phase on my 40 right now. The 40 keeps evolving.

So Wayneraintree who's 25 hard top in the pictures? I know there is one for sale in southern California, is this that one? Petescoffee what only one cruiser? It looks like your not addicted yet. Now's the time to get out before it too late. Once you get addicted there's no going back, there is always one more.

Michael and I looked at them the other weekend: none split window. One of the buses is in decent condition and could be made to run, paint is multilayer white on red rubbed off, looks like spotted owl, with a white roof, inside is decent. We figured it would take us a year. There is also a camper conversion (originally from California, has dealer plaque on he side), looked reasonable inside, no idea how much work it would be. The bugs are all major projects. I particularly liked the assorted mounds of nuts from a squirrel in the engine bay of the superbeetle. A tree had fallen onto this one, might be possible to make it a convertible. None is driveable, rust was not too bad, they have been sitting for a LONG time. No evidence of any lubrication left.

BTW, the find for a real connoisseur on the same property: some 20 retired lawnmowers of the you-push-it style, condition is anyone's guess (why would one keep those in such numbers?)

I think it looks like a nice one, would love to add it to my collection, but I've bought so much in the last little while that I would hate to have to find a new place to live and my wife would throw my a$$ out of the house for sure!

Someone will get a good one, good price too!

Good Luck!

Wanted Canadian spec BJ70
