Hey guys, I have a set of rear quarters that @bobm made for me over a year ago. I purchased them because the guy that was doing the body work on my 55 said I needed them. Well, I've been working on the rear quarters and they weren't in that bad of condition, so I've been patching instead of completely replacing them. Anyhow, I'm listing these for sale if someone else can benefit from them. I'm not quite sure how to proceed in the expectation of a lot of interest. I will sell them for what I have in them - $450 plus shipping. They've been stored in my garage in the box, so they are as I received them.

Cheers,

Mike

Are these still available? Thanks

Ouch! Just trying to get the full story if this is a 10 year old thread or is someone making parts, that's all.
OUCH!!! Last thing you said to me is keep me posted as long as something happens by end of year!!! If ya gots Itchy Britches go find a fab shop to build them and let us know how cheap they are. Be less expensive to buy the tools and DIY. Last I looked it was still September!!!!

Also looking for updates on FJ55 - Floor pans, bodymounts, floor supports and rear corners.
Thank you

…don’t want to tread on your toes bobm, since i’m a gnu-b here with a future in bodywork…

…maybe sell a set of cad plans to the group, or a license to let our fabricators make one set for us from your plans, or something else…?

Why, just today, i decided to lift the front SOR carpet and clean the underneath for the first time in forever.
So i did. And found a little spot of rust in the corner of the DS kickpanel and the floorboard.
So i dug into the little spot with a flat blade (non-JIS) screwdriver. And found a bigger hole. Then i started digging out dirt. Then SnT sand, then Rubicon traildust. Then i took a wire brush to the little hole and found a bigger hole.
"That's a body mount i can see down there" i said to myself. "And the leaf spring. And a little bit of the road if i move sideways".
And it's not like i could put my foot through it, or lose a basketball down it, but i sure could lose a golfball, if i owned one.
I guess I'm a little late to the rust party and I'm not panicking. I've got some old license plates that i can hammer into shape and pop-rivet down to keep the snow out.
But, if there was a nicely made patch panel that i could weld in, that'd be swell.
Quite a wake-up call for me. Maybe tomorrow I'll look at the passenger floorboard.

Just counting my lucky stars I was able to get all the bobm stuff I needed when it was available. And even spend some time with the man, the legend himself at our first Pig Party.
