Looks Great Aaron! I like the look of the silver wheels too.

For low range I think the best route would be to do the NP203 to splitcase. I know you said you want the least amount of work but unless you want to drop some serious coin on Mark's gears (and have less reduction) any road you take will be work. You could also go ORION or ATLAS if you don't have room for the 203. If you go ORION or ATLAS Sell the splitcase adaptor & splitcase to get some cash for that conversion. Have you already re-geared the axles? Maybe that would get you enough low range.

OH- and I got the wheels mounted up and tested them out. Thanks Man!

Wheels look great, I still like that look a lot. Nice air too!
Thanks for the info, I think I've decided to drop in 5.29s in the diffs, so after that is complete I'll re-evaluate lower tcase gears. I thought the Atlas was for a centered rear axle only?

Tires are 38.7x13".

80 series rear axles are not that far off center (compared to 40 & 60 axles). I doubt you would have any problem running an ATLAS. I know a guy that ran an np205 with NV4500 in his FJ40. He daily drove it & claimed not to have any vibration (and that is a short rear drive shaft).

I think you are going down the right road with the re-gear first. Even with your monster power I'd bet with those new tires it just aint the same! Once you re-gear I expect a video of you roasting those rears!

Had a few hours to work on the truck. I couldnt stand looking at the frame horns anymore so I stared this....Not sure yet if I like the design, something about the wings on either side, Ill keep messing with it.

Harder to execute, but I think that I'd want to follow the lines of the lower valence panel. Would make it sort of an inverted version of the prop-driven F-4 Corsair's wings.

Did you cover what those lights in the valance are and do?

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Maybe Ill mock something like that up.
The lights are HID driving lights, I love them.

Damn that looks good. I have definitely never seen that before! Good work.

that whole build is so nice and the bumper is especially so. where do you get those bolt on drings? what are they rated at?

Hey thanks.
Those rings are hoist points for crane lifting. Each has a working load of 4k with a 5 to 1 safety factor. They are especially nice since they swivel 360 degrees.

Thanks for the encouragement!
Lots of small things done. Got started on the fender trimming. Got some sliders welded up. Also got some new tires. Anyone have a set of fzj80 oem alloys they want to get rid of?

what size are those xzl's?

looks damn sick, i like it very much.

The tires are 38.5x12.9 I actually have them for sale in the classifieds section. I really like the tires, they are quite, they handle great, awsome traction and tough as hell, but I think I want to drop to a 37". If they don't sell Ill keep running them.
