Got confirmation that it's being shipped? Guess I'll see???

Im curious, how was this list put together? They confirmed they have one on the shelf? I have ordered something that was discontinued from a Toyota parts site saying they had it in stock only to get a refund later and a notice that they actually didn't have it.

You know this is for the Throttle control on the dash and not for the gas pedal right ?

Wow, 3/4 of those links have the exact same web interface.

Smelling something fishy, I inputed a part number that we ALL know is discontinued, 25620-61071, the EGR valve for the 2F. FJ60. These are unobtainium world wide without question. Long gone.

Guess what? They all would let me buy it. Fancy that!

Well, good news...and bad news!

Good news...The 62 throttle cable I ordered was in stock and shipped to me, it arrived yesterday!

Bad news...The cable was packaged in an envelope and the cable is kinked so bad, it is not usable! It has a near 90 degree bend about 18" from the firewall end.

I just called the dealer, they will refund my money, but no replacement is available.

I was ordering this with my new engine I'm building. My current cable is good, AFAIK, but wanted to have a new one.

I'll keep looking

I saw a Morse "Zero Drag" throttle cable set up in a Jegs cataloge. It may be an option

Hey guess what happened today?

The dealer who I sold me the new 62 throttle cable that was damaged in shipping contacted me last week. They found a brand new 62 cable and asked if I still wanted it...Hell ya!

It showed up today, all new and shinny.

It turned out the original package was torn, so it was rebagged, but the part number was not clear. So it has been sitting on a shelf and was discovered recently. Lucky for me, I'm the only person who had requested that part in years and he remembered me!

I just compared the new cable to my spare used one and it matches perfectly. Of course, I just bought a good used spare about 2 weeks ago...

Dumb luck, and I'll take it!
