Good evening - a quick question - what adhesive do you use in the "channel" when you reconnect the mud flap? I have ordered the clips and grommets, saved the screws and washers - just trying to figure out best reattachment plan.

If this is the flap-to-body connection, I would use butyl rubber sealant. It's a non-curing black sealant sold for windshields. It's thick and gooey, and will bond, but can be removed in the future.

There are hardening and non-hardening butyl rubber products. You want the windshield sealing rope, per this (scroll down): McMaster-Carr - https://www.mcmaster.com/sealants/formulation~butyl-rubber/. You will find other uses for this over the years.
