This is what it'a all about.
Ready to step into the next gear and get this 55/80 running.

This includes;
  1. New fuel lines, filter and bosche 040 fuel pump. I'm using a 177L Brown Davis longrange tank from a Diesel, and they don't have a fuel pump inside.
  2. New Fuel relay wiring.
  3. Mount all wiring ecus and relays.
  4. Brake lines front to back.
  5. Battery tray, wiring harness and rewiring the 80 key barrel to work from the 55 barrel.
  6. Radiator and heater hoses.
  7. Acelerator cable.
  8. Headlights, Brake lights and Indicators to run off the 80 harness and light up the 55 parts.
  9. Handbrake.
  10. Send it.
I've never wired a vehicle with an ECU, so wish me luck as we dial this all together, before tearing it all apart for paint and panel.

As I am awaiting ebay orders, I made progress on a few items today.

- Rear Seats.
Mounted these to work out seating positions and cargo space.

Handbrake.
- Remounted from the centre console to drivers side for better usablity.

Console.
- Took mesurements for Switches, Cup Holders and ARB Locker / Compressor control.

Hood Pins
- Squared up the vehicle's guards and now have two ways to keep the bonnet down (Australia Engineer requirement)

80 sub tank
- checking the sender units and pump in the tank, they're coated in rust and do not work. Another part to work out.

I've put a couple of hand brakes there. I would recommend moving it further back if you can. I believe there's a floor support to the rear of where yours is, but you could reinforce it to move it further back.
The issue I've found is that with the brake engaged getting in and out of the truck you will hit your thigh/bottom on the lever. Move it as far back as you can, your hand will still be able to engage it easily with it further back.

I went and got the whole tackle box jammed tight in the handbrake. I tell ya, I thought it was curtains for the crown jewels; I was in a real state of bother, reckonin' I’d have to perform a bit of DIY surgery just to get loose!

But after a bit of a fiddle and some elbow grease, she’s lookin' deadset brilliant again. Though, I’ll be honest, the left nut’s still lookin' a bit sorry for itself!"

Crikey Tip: Next time you're operatin' heavy machinery, keep your treasures tucked away. We don't want the wildlife gettin' nipped!

Starting to mock up the intergrated LED ditch light section. First edition, time to bust the cardboard aided design.

Small wins.
Sourced some LED Tail lights and the factory 80 series loom which was lost in the move.

Sorted some 12v and got the dash to light up, although I don't have any crank to the motor just yet.

Once I get this motor cracking over, it'll be pulled apart and then prepped for Panel & Paint.

Chasing a few issues starting the 55/80 and found the points on the dizzy NFG.

Paint & Panel booked for May/June.

Going to spend this upcoming weekend pulling apart the car, seperate the body from the chassis for the last time and prepping.

Now to decide;
1. Fashion Green.
2. Rustic Green.
3. Judson Green
