Guppie,

I saved your Cad. file, in hopes of taking it to somebody that can cut out some alum. ones for me. Did they work good for you, everything ( holes ) in the right places.

not sure, have not done it yet, way off as in school now full time, someday, I got the files from another mudder way back when, not sure who

I would be interested in a full set of door panels and cargo panels if you can make them. I think you will find enough business here for a run of them for sure. I would want a full set though so they all match and would like them in the darker stock color, same as seats.

I have apparently a large metal cover for the fuel filler neck from a 71, and the smaller one for my 74. If I can put my hands on them, I could send to 1500ram, if he needs them.

dimensions, including height of low panel for those that haven't seen one.

Ige,

On the panel, you pictured, there is a rectangle hole in the corner. Is that for the rear vent or another ashtray hole.

I have one set with them and one set without.

I know the rear panels are going to be very doable. I can see how the cargo panels matched with the door panels would very much compliment the the interior.

I was curious about the length and they are short enough for length.

50% of my sells on the FJ40 door panels goes to Australia. I am limited to a maximum length of 41".

Now all I have to do is source panels (borrow) those with the short and long filler slot and also the panels with the vent slot.

So if I understand correctly, both type of panels are identical with exception of the filler slot. If so I could create one template accounting for the long and short filler slots and then the vents.

Can pull the 76s tomorrow and send.
I don't have the metal panel and don't recall height, offhand, but Ige would know. Would like these back.

Have panels from the 71 that the vinyl is trash, panels are slightly bowed, but could send to be kept for all eternity. (Obviously would want to post pics of first, to ensure not in vain.)

I'm going to wait on the 72, because there's no sense in storing for a year or more, but would like the dark gray with no ash tray for the four doors, and the cargo panels for the 76 and willing to send to get it done.

I'll, once again, express interest IF you decide to do headliner.....hahaha.

Ready to go on all 6.

Which is OE and matches the OE seat pattern/color/scheme, right?

Is this "dark gray" a relatively close match to OE?

Yes.

Close enough for me. I like Tucker's panel colors, but if he will do the dark gray that is the coor I want.

Yup -

Tucker

I can do these panels in practically any color . The vinyl I use is an automotive grade but have access to marine grade as well.

If you want an or color match all you would have to do is send me a small clipping and I could match it very close if not exact.

I despise color selection, but the 76 isn't a true resto, so asking opinions of black to match handles.

Be easier to recover whatever bucket seats to match, in the event covers in OE-ish pattern doesn't pan out.

Any drawbacks to using marine grade vinyl?

I'd assume ten times tougher, but assuming gets me in trouble.

Easy enough to add speaker holes without issues?

fyi, shane, aka aatlas, would be a good guy to talk to about what the stock color was? mine piggy came in pieces so I have no idea. Either way I am flexible but would prefer a darker grey.

Shane's whose exploring the option to recover unknown front buckets and rear seat in OE-ish material and pattern, if he has enough left to do.

Probably right on staying OE, so will go that route on these, whatever that's determined to be.

yes, that is for the vent which appeared around late 73. the rigs with the large vent around the outside of the rear outer marker light have the vent inside.

Now all I have to do is source panels (borrow) those with the short and long filler slot and also the panels with the vent slot.

pm me your addy, i can pull the one out of the blue pig, it has the tall panel. i don't know if i have any good original right sides, i can check and send with, but as mentioned, there is with and without the vent. again, that's something that people can cut in if they want (like ashtray holes in front door)

Steve,

Dumb question, but notorious for.

Is the vinyl used for the door panels suitable for seat recovering?

Would marine grade offer any advantages/disadvantages to possibly having seat covers made from the same material?

Is it possible to get matching material anywhere, or can it be sourced from you, as well?

The vinyl I use is an automotive grade vinyl. Marine vinyl can be used equally as well as the automotive grade.

Based upon this info do I understand that you will send both sets of cargo panels but you need the 76 panels back. And that you are ready for two sets of 6 panels?

Please let me know and I will pm you my address.
