This doesn’t seem to be the work of anyone named “Rush”. It seems a better name would be “Slow, meticulous and steady”. 🤣 Beautiful work.
None of it is any work of mine. You are correct, wouldn’t want to rush any of this process, especially if you’ve never done it.

Nice!
Are you extending them for Troopy conversions?
Pretty sure for 79 series pickup bodies (Which I guess would be the same as a later 70 series Troopy).

Ya and other 70-series. The Troopy in the background of one of those pics is on an 80 chassis. I am doing mine because I feel a pickup should have a bit more wb and an 80-series pickup to me looks weird with stock wb. First one I did was a 62, that was the shorten.

Cheers

Maybe, but your 75-series is shorter at about 118”. The 79 pickup wb is right around 124”.

On the topic of the 55, I recently harvested these parts with a conversion on an older chassis vs a full chassis swap. I have a big crate already full of chassis brackets with the thought of using them for a conversion. Obviously the 80 series rear coil bucket crossmember would need to be narrowed but that is not that hard to do. I have not done that conversion yet but have saved the parts to do it on a 40/60/70 series.

There is also three different radius arms mounts Toyota made for 80/70-series that locate that arms differently. Same for panhard in front. The 70-series also runs the steering box up front like a mini truck so that could be another option to look at if doing a conversion vs a swap. I have done one conversion on a leaf sprung front 70-series and used a combination of 80 & 70 parts. It came out pretty sweet and looks factory.
