Rhd it drives straight and stops straight.
I have put 350 miles on it last 2 days.
No complaints.
Factory ac evap and fan will be refreshed. currently in operable.
Heat is disconnected, but all there .
Driver floor had a 6 inch by 10 inch patch sometime in past but all normal locations are good.
It was an UTE and over there they didn't come with a bed , the local dealers equipped them out. so at some point this bed was acquired and put on.
What makes my head scratch is its titled a swb but I don't know why or how

These always seem to have some VIN anomaly. I have a '63 titled as a '64, most likely because by the time the boat ride and wait in the Port of Long Beach was over it was later the following year. Did they even make swb Ute's in that year? I am not sure they were. Do you have the old Aussie title?
No, I didn't get much in official paperwork, but got a tool box full of aussie level parts .
Some official aussie dirt and grime.
I think I opened it up in the sun and yelled some gibberish at me but said it was cold and slammed the lid on my fingers. lol.
PO did hand write the things he had done and details of places and model #s for where I may find replacements for it.
Im torn between rewiring all the fuze block with modern fuzes , better protection for.the panel , or leaving it aussie style.
Fix what you plan on fixing and drive it awhile so you can add to your wishlist, like seat heater (maybe not in Louisiana) and rock light pods and charging ports and 110V inverter in the bed - don't forget the plug in fridge
If you jump into the rewire you will be adding circuits soon.

I dont want all that in the LC. I just want to charge my phone and maybe add a radio for gmrs and ham. I couldn't hear anything wirh the current state of tires though.
He had 2 sets of the extrema badak tires.
One set was a tad worn how they do with bad bearings or tie rods. I swapped to the new set and it rolls out better but still noisy.
Left the old.set at buddies for his build.
May try to find second set of wagon wheels to put some ridge grapplers on. I always got 62 k.miles out of them on the 4 runner.
I also got a set of toyota splits but not sure anyone will put a tire on them for me. Lol
Those tires look like a rough ride. I had Super Swamper TSLs on mine for a few years, great off-road, but hell on the highway and around town.

My understanding it was often the other way around. They could be ordered with a styleside or as incomplete. The styleside isn't the most practical, and legend has it that many dealers would take the styleside off and scrap them, and build a flat steel and timber tray. Apparently they made more money this way, and probably allowed for greater payload capacity.
Either way, its a cool ute.

I am brand new to this forum but wanted to add my truck to the registry. I have a 1966 fj45. Vin is 4521019.

The restoration was done about 12 years ago. It went straight to a museum until the owner passed. I bought it sight unseen for a crazy deal about 4 years ago. It looked pretty but did not drive or function correctly. We have slowly fixed things. First the trans then getting the motor to run right. Then the AC and brakes. Still want to work on suspension but it runs 70 mph on the freeway straight as an arrow and no drama stopping. I’ve included a few more pics including the list of things about the truck and what it looked like before the restoration.
