Amazing that woman was allowed to show her hair. You can see in the background the young girl has her headscarf. When I was in Afghanistan, my mom had to wear a headscarf in public, even though she was a white American. It is just the way of life there.

Wow that’s clean. Do you still have that same one? Is that a PTO winch? That’s awesome
Yup! Still have that FJ40 with the "factory" PTO Winch (I ordered it when I bought the "40".. it took three months to arrive, but then, it took the dealership AND an A/C Fab Shop three months JUST to create and install an Air Conditioning System (that keeps my right kneecap cool in the summer!! The "stock engine & G-box" went to the scrap yard back in '78 after FIVE Valve Jobs on the same #4 Exhaust!!. That is when I fitted a 429cid Cadillac V-8 & TH400 to the T-Case then logged OVER 300K trouble-free miles (many pulling a 23" travel trailer!) After nearly twenty years, the LandCruiser got "too tired" to drive so it got parked. BUT, my "40" is "on the short list" of getting a total "going over" (probably after I have hip replacement surgery!! It sucks getting old!!) rebuilding the Caddy V-8, installing a 4" lift kit (I'm keeping the stock rim & tire size for now). . The "Major Upgrade" will be changing to 3:10 gearing (instead of the "stock" 4:11's).. After I fitted the Caddy V-8 & TH400, I NEVER needed to use "Low Range", again!! The "Cadillac Torque" allowed me to climb ANYTHING, as long as I could get traction!! (Including pulling a couple of loaded 18 wheelers up an ice-slick hill... one-at-a-time, of course! I "chained-up" all four wheels, but kept it in High Four range!)
I do have "some" rust work to repair (so far, I've not found a lot!!). I need to re-do the seat covers, I want to fit a set of Sliders, a couple "extra" skid-plates (for rock crawling),. A few other "upgrades" will include "re-vamping" the A/C set-up so it will cool BOTH front seats!!, fit Four Wheel Disc Brakes (using the 12" Vented Chevy Rotors). Cadillac Eldo Calipers on the rear will allow a cable operated park brake. With a few pulleys, I might actually get a working "emergency brake".. well, a BETTER E-Brake than came on the FJ40 to begin with ;-}
Also, something I'm planning on is fitting Dual Wilwood Master Cylinders.. set-up with adjustable front/rear bias.. complete with pressure gauges! (NOT for your average street vehicle!!)
Charles 1974 FJ40.
