The HJ45 is a 1978. Old Landy. The first PiC is in 1983 in Switzerland after it finished an overlanding trip from Cape Town South Africa to Switzerland. The second pic is of my son @Cowboy45 in 2018 who is hooked on cruisers with Old Landy in Richardson, TX. He will restore it as a DD and more. Old Landy will live on with him.

Yes I do. Very possibly have the hard top from one of those on my 79.
Maybe I missed it, but has anyone thought about trying to track down the original owner. I would think he'd love to see what your family has planned for it.

Definitely Sedona Arizona. I believe a lot of those vehicles / parts went to Tim Hill in Tucson. They now drive Jeeps up there.

Just have to rub it in that Europe got models we never did. After 67 Toyota made it easy for us, you could get any model we wanted as long as it was a FJ40.

I found some more pictures from 1980 on the Black River in Mo. First three are of me sporting hair and a Chevy 327...
And the last is of Bigfoot and another monster Dodge power wagon. That's Marvin Chandler and his wife standing at the corner of Bigfoot. He hadn't made it big yet, pretty much just local stuff.
