My dad's cruiser. 1973. He sold it around when I was born (85) so I'm guessing early 80's most of the pictures were taken.
Been looking for it with little success the last couple months. Found a few leads on it, but all have been dead ends.

Here's a couple of shots of my dad racing our '73 back in the late '70's at the Starkey 4x4 races just outside of La Grande Oregon.
Ok, more memories: It was 1973, I had my new Armstrong Norseman tires but discovered they didn't help much when you bottomed out and had no traction. I needed a winch. The only winch I could afford was a 1500 lb. Super Winch. Didn't help much and looked pretty silly on the bumper of my Cruiser. I immediately started saving up for an 8000 lb Warn.
More shots of the Starkey races. Thats me leaning over the seat and watching dad come out of the mud hole.

1993. My 82 fj40 ( first car) which is currently finishing up its "restoration" revitalization. My brothers long gone fj60. Both lucky to have awesome first cars when we turned 16. Sorry, thought it was close enough to the 80's, my brothers tie dye must count for something.
I love this thread and just went through all 16 pages.
The best part is knowing that in 30 years, I'll finally be able to add some of the photos I took last week.

BUMP... I just love this thread. Does anybody have anything to add? I'm getting a scanner so hopefully I can add a few things soon.
Also my profile pic, but here is my old man and and a 40 in probably about 1970-'71.
Shortly after this photo, that 40 rolled twice on an embankment. He called some buddies out, they flipped it over and went on about business. That story started my interest in 40s.
