Still searching :bang: I'm constantly monitoring this forum, CL, even Ebay!
Looking for a post '75 with good condition 2F (even an older year with transplant) I'd prefer a hardtop but that's not a deal breaker. Looking to stay right at 10k or less...
Thanks for any help!

Willing to travel for the right rig or have it shipped!

I was lucky enough to snag the 1980 in Atlanta. It is solid and will be a good restoration project.
I didn't even see as the link was gone by the time I read Yellow Jacket's post but from what I've seen of your work it went to someone that'll do it justice... Wish I could afford it after you're done

WOO HOO - Touchdown!!! :steer:
She's a tad rusty, needs new shoes, and a little love but she's mine and will be well taken care of... Finally scored! New additional to the family is an '82 sold to me last night by the second owner since 1984 who bought it from a Delta pilot. He had his own restoration shop (old '35 Dodge pickup and a '67 Camaro being worked on) and said he was ready to turn the 40 loose.... Lucky me!
Special thanks to "Yellow Jacket" for the heads up - He fell on his sword for me on this!
Drove it home via interstate last night - 2 hours and she did great! Now it's time to get to work

Well sir, it looks like it was worth the wait! Congrats!

An 82 none the less. More info on how the purchase came about please.
BTW Wife last night..."That red 40 is still for sale off Clairmont"

Huck and I both saw it pop on Craigslist yesterday about the same time and started talking about it. With me cajoling him and threatening to buy it myself if he didn't.

Huck - on second thought, it looks a lot rougher than I thought. I tell you what, let me save you from a lot of headache and pain and I'll just take it off your hands now for what you paid for it. Deal? :)

Now that there is right funny! I do appreciate your participation and help in this... really

Nice score. Let me know when you want to come over and borrow some tools.

Appreciate it... You answered a bunch of questions and threw out a lot of helpful pointers! Think I'm gonna need to learn welding

Yeah I saw that one come up in
Macon and I knew it wouldn't last long. Good deal. Post up some more pics. I was wondering about the floors and the rust.

Uh... just a wee bit more rust than I could see last night but mostly contained in the driver's floor pan and around a homemade tool box behind the front seats. Seller gave me a patch for the rear quarter... He showed me where he welded the driver's door to repair rust in it's lower area - wish he'd done the same for just a couple of the other areas cuz he's very good! Guess now it's my turn

Funny thing... I asked him to take me for a spin then let me drive it back; he's even older than me but proceeded to show me how much pep the old girl still had - I bout got a little worried we were gonna end up in a ditch but he seemed to enjoy showing off!
