Sent from deep in the mountains of Honduras using only sticks and rocks.

"keys" to the black lifted hilux diesel - sans red rim trim.

Went to a 4x4 Jamboree last weekend. Nice selection of 40’s, 42’s – plenty of action and some real nice mods! Most have been converted to Volvo C303 portal axles!
My BJ40 on the end!

Great pics, thanks for sharing! What are those set-ups in front of some of the rigs with the winch lines hooked up to them? Is it for better/quicker access to the cables if stuck in the mud? Thanks!

-Daniel

They call it a Rooster Head. It is so they can see the hook/shackle when the beast is up to its ears in mud! If you have to grovel around low down, it wastes time, so hooking it up high is easier to find in the water or deep mud!

Very cool, thanks!

Surely there can't be anywhere in the world with as many 40-series still involved in serious off-road competition events!

You're so lucky being there in Malaysia Pearly!

Great photography too!

I always find the "ultra-lights" (Suzukis etc) and "supermodifieds" (which can have both axles steering, independant adjustable-on-the-move suspension etc, and whose appearance doesn't resemble any ex-factory 4x4) rather boring to watch in comparison to watching a 40-series. But sadly, 40-series are generally outperformed by these boring alternatives here so we seldom see more than one or two 40-series in our competitions these days.

Hi All:

Thanks Pearly for sharing your Malaysia pics with us!

Regards,

Alan
