Nicely done. I’m gonna copy you…extensively. Starting with torque check paint.

We call it torque stripe at work. We use it pretty extensively

Funny story about that, I'm sitting on the Joker ride at Six Flags about six months ago with my daughter (first time for her) and about half the nuts on the back of the seats in front of us had the torque/security paint way out of alignment. I'm sitting there thinking "f*@#, these rides used to be way more fun before I grew up and realized there are a million ways to die"

Hijack off

One last peice of the fender apron puzzle arrived. All new in with new clips.

Thank you...again... for the part numbers!!!

I know I live in CA and my frame looks factory after all these years, but I Fluid Film'd the underside for good measure. Wanted to wait until most of the wrenching was completed. Last time I was purchasing oil at wallyworld I noticed they carry this stuff now, so figured why not and grabbed a can. One can did pretty decent coverage on the truck and myself lol.

Does dirt and dust stick to fluid film or does it sort of cure?

Your truck makes my truck look like I need a new truck.

Not sure. Just know it comes highly recommended on Mud from long term experiences and results.

I've always oiled the undercarriage, but 1st time with this, much thicker. It seems to stick very well and no runoff/drips.

Unfortunately dirt well stick to it. I use it on my tow Rig as it sits out side and I live close to the beach.

On the 80 I like to use Muphy's oil Soap.

It's not as clean as yours Paul but you get the idea ;)

Looks like you do as I and clean your rig well. After every good trip I wash the truck inside and out and pressure wash the undercarriage. Especially after any coastal sand/visits.

A high bar to emulate. Nice work!!

When I come back from a winter Tahoe trip I drop the wife and dogs off at the house and go straight to the DIY car wash to wash the under carriage.

We use fluid film at the winery as the detergent in our sanitation protocol. It’s definitely viscous. It makes me wonder if there’s some sort of dry lubricant that we could apply to our regs and not have dirt and grime stick to it.

I try to stop by the spray wash on the way home from the trail while it's still on the trailer, . Super easy to get the bottom cleaned off without laying on the ground.

And yes I wash and vacuum after every run. Now if I could only wash off the trail damage off the body 🤷‍♂️

Wow, yeah, that does make it easy.
