He did a 1/4" thick tub from the cowl back for me 10yrs ago and it saved my truck. Pm me and I can get you some pictures. He also sells used parts and everything Toyota. Go check out the Clubhouse section of Yankee Toys. Click on the forum Beep Beep Old Truck and check out the FJ45 they restored from nothing. Very talented fabricators.
Especially if you are not in a rush. Its all word of mouth.
Thanks! We started work on it today. For the right price on a tub I would cheerfully rent a U-Haul trailer and buzz up to Vermont. 😄

Thanks will do. I think a 1/2 tub will be what we need. No t in a rush at all. We’ve got to rebuild the engine, put in a new clutch, refurbish the brakes and suspension, and do about a million other tasks before we get to cosmetic stuff. Really appreciate the info, Brother. I’ll PM you tomorrow.

Welcome to MUD. You picked a perfect year 40 to have as a project. I agree completely with @Rainman . You should definitely get it road worthy and have fun with it before tearing it down. Also, I don't agree with anyone saying you need a half tub. (unless there is excessively more rot than what you have pictured. That is the fun of the project, get a welder some metal from Reel steel and get it done. It will be cheaper, teach you and your son how to weld and build memories.

Thanks so much. I agree. We’ve got plenty to do before we attack the tub. First order of business is getting engine rebuilt and running. One step at a time! 😄
