After the first part learning how to swing a hammer on an anvil with some hot steel in between, I started with making my own blocking hammer.
Well assisting as I was not trusted with the air hammer.
after a few hours heating and forming, by hand on the anvil with the occasional assistance of the air hammer I left it in the fire to fully come to rest. This is after glowing in the sand box during the cooling.
still a bit to bot to handle but no longer red hot.
today I am going to grind and polish before it can be hardened and tempered.
this is realy a fun excursion and you learn a lot in the process.
