Disadvantages over the normal heavy duty slider –

No steps
No pivoting off rocks
Not designed to come crashing down on rocks but strong enough to support the vehicles weight
Make no mistake these are not a replacement for Slee, Metal Tech or similar others designed for heavy duty rock crawling.

Thanks for the feedback

They are not a replacement for the hardcore guy needing lots of protection. They do cover 90% of what most guys will encounter off road. For the less then hardcore wheeler they have a big advantage over the big guys giving you 2 additional inches of clearance. In many cases the big guy is hanging up and the guys with rails are sliding through.

You could not get a hi-lift under them leaving somewhat pointless to jack off them.

You bring up a lot of good questions. They are not for everyone but I do believe they do fit a need for many.

If you wheel you 100 hard by crashing through rock gardens, sliding by trees, or find the need to pivot off boulders these are not for you. You will be much better served by the Slee, MT, BIOR, and others manufactures of heavy duty sliders.

A few have po-po'd and commented they are not worthy. I have done my best to be up front on the construction and the limits they have. They should not be compared to a heavy duty slider with outriggers or steps. That has never been my intent. They do however fill an void for the recreational 100 owner well.

In three pages of this thread youve had to bring this up 4 times and still some people arent getting it? Sorry to stick my nose in here but look at your other threads on the same thing>

Seems clear to me :meh:

The internet allows those who have gotten their lunch money taken away too many times to talk tough. Don't let the 10 percent of the ASS Holes on this forum discourage your products. Some of the people on here are really disappointing. If you don't like a product don't buy it. If you cant be a big boy then find another forum.

LOL, that was funny, Motley.. Yep that was not very nice of me. Sorry about that, Phil. I did read the thread here and in the 80s section. These are not for me but I bet will work well for modest wheeling with limited weight/impact.

Looks like a good alternative to bulky sliders for me. Any LXers out there trying them? Have looked for testimony, but have seen them only on the 80's via the links you've provided.

No workie on LX 80 or 100 due to plastic cladding along the rockers.

The testimony would be the same due to the similar weight between the 80/100. The 80/100 rails are now both made from 1.75" .090 wall tubing with welded capped ends. The 100 rails are a couple inches longer and have one more mounting point over the 80 series.

Hard to get testimony on the 100 series with 2 - 2.5" of more clearance than bulky sliders a 100 guy has to wheel harder than most. I did just get a thank you from a 100 guy that received his first rail scratch resulting in zero damage.

Most of our 100 sales have been local where the guys have seen them in action compared to full size getting contact and slowing you down.

Ah, bummer. I was all set to order a set for the LX470. Back to the drawing board.
I have seen guys cut the cladding for fit but I dont recommend it. Only because it hard to do it and make it look clean. The only reason my LX does not have them.

I just bought a 2000 LC and the first thing I did was to get rid of the step rails. I really like your rails and their intended purpose. Are the rails the same price as before?

Yes and in stock

do you have a link to them on your web page ? or am I just missing it.

oh wait I get it its April First tomorrow :) lol.

Sorry but not on the site. I need to step it up. My IT department is motivated by flowers and diamonds and candle lite dinners.

Tomorrow April 1st (her idea) is our 27th anniversary.

I've had these on my 98 LC here in New Mexico for several months:

full

They have performed great. With the extra clearance and the greatly reduced weight versus sliders, they have helped me keep the suspension stock as I wanted.

are they still available for sale?
