Diesels at least JDM diesels are 24 volt starting but all the other electrics are 12 volt.

Both my trucks have the Factory Auxilliary power boxes but I have seen a 94 80 here in NZ that did not have one so some get them and somw don't. I have also seen the outlet box aon at least 1 60 series truck as well.
Good to see that the pictures show that there is a way to get the wires into the box from underneath. I have actuall seen a couple where people cut a hole in the lid.

Aus spec diesels are all 12volt. Same with the 60 s,eries we got:beer::beer:

I would think getting a Painless Wiring box would be faster/cheaper/better.

Obviously this was a very long time ago but this is the only helpful thread i can find about it. I have a 24V JDM HJ61 and am in the process of fitting a 12V dual battery system. Has anyone wired one up from the power outlet box and was there any extra steps or issues that came up? Would be going into a 20A DC-DC charger and then into the battery. Cheers.

if only you were in aus, I have two 24v arb compressor motors that I don't need. assuming that you would be in the market for such
