The tranny hump will be ok. The B use the same transmission, auto or manual but the input splines are different and the B may have the starter and clutch slave on the other side.
Depending on which engine you use the fuel lines, clutch lines ,exhaust and starter wiring may have to be swapped from one side to the other.
The H motor makes this easier as you can use your gearbox and I think every thing is on the same side.
I used the metal fuel and clutch lines from diesel cruisers. Most of the bolt holes were already drilled. This makes it look very factory
I got an electrician to lengthen the wiring so it would reach the starter on the other side and put a new relay in.
Going diesel really simplifies things as you no longer need the distributor or coil
The exhaust shop had a pattern book of all landcruiser exhaust and bent one to resemble the factory exhaust on a HZJ73.
As my cruiser formerly ran on unleaded petrol ,I had to put a fuel tube in from a diesel BJ70 as the old fuel tube had a restrictor so it could only take unleaded fuel. This shouldnt concern you.
The radiator shroud will also be different,Im guessing it would need to be off a BJ40 or HJ45 depending on the motor.
B engine will need the old mounts cut off and ne ones welded on,not such a big deal
250000 is ok if its been looked after but I would expect it at a lower price.Maybe some of the Canadians can give a better idea of local prices
Here is a pic of a 1984 army 45 engine bay with a 2H diesel which is what yours could look like
This one also had a factory 5 sp
