What are the plans for a drape assembly to cover the sides. By the way a foot of volume is 23 cases of BEER. Nice job on the system

Initially I am going to make a simple curtain myself so that I can start testing out the trailer.

Eventually I will have one professionally made. The curtain will be made from a UV/water resistant canvas or sunbrella type material. It will attach with hook and loop to the inside lip of the base of the top. The bottom will attach to the tub with snaps. There will be a large rectangular zip up window with clear vinyl and screen material on each of the 4 sides with the entry through the rear. The window corners will all be rounded, similar to the 40 series windows Id like to make each of the sides removable with zippers in case I decide to ad beds cantileavered out the sides as in my initial hand drawing.

That looks very, very cool. How many hours do you think you have in it so far?
Thanks! I really dont know how many hours. several long nights. Several long days, and a plethera of evenings. Im so buzy that I rarely get the chance to work on it. Project started 2 years ago? May take 2 more years before its done. Im the president of the local cruiser club and consequently, I find that I end up working on others projects more than I do my own. Im really close to having tent material around it and being able to actually use it but far from being done with the project. Kitchen and body work left to do.

Not much progress as I have been buzy all summer, but I did manage to cut down and shape the legs. the top is just the right hight now. Top photo shows the magnetic connection holding the legs up. Bottom photo shows rounded leg which makes for easier sliding. I also cut 1/2" off the sides of the wood deck to make a track for the legs to slide in. Looks like work is slowing, so maybe I can dive into it again soon. :D

Bought a 13lb. propane tank for the trailer. Also bought some steel to make the weather strip channel for the galley door.

I bought one of those 13 lb propane tank and love it. It's the perfect size for throwing in the back of your rig or mounting on a trailer.

Just ordered a 21 Gallon fresh water tank.

The propane tank showed up today so I set it in the trailer to see how it fit. Just right.

Just ordered drawer slides for the Galley. I have been holding off on these because what I needed was some really heavy duty full extension sliders with a lock in lock out mechanism and the only ones that I could find were Accuride for $400/pair  Well the other day in my research I came across Ryadon sliders. Same specs as the Accuride. These things will support up to 500 lbs. !With a much more palitable price of $180/ pair, I pulled the trigger and am looking forward to starting on galley design.

Drawer slides finally showed up. Delivery was delayed due to a local natural disaster. 31 homes & 12 businesses in my neighborhood flooded due to a 100 year old levy break. Lots of basements full of water.

These slides are stout! 48" long, full extension, with a lock-in lock-out mechanism, rated at 500 lbs. I've been sketching kitchen designs, but i haven't finalized the design quite yet. Still researching faucets, sinks, pumps, water heaters, etc. Trying to work out all the oragami.

BTW, The chair is not miniature.

Hydraulic lift

Have you seen the lift mech. from a Alaskan camper? Consists of a large bottle jack plumbed with brake line to 4 telescoping lift posts. Seems like a setup like that would be perfect for your setup.

I had'nt seen them. That looks like a cool lift system. My initial search didnt turn up any rams with a long throw and a narrow shaft commercially availible. I like the Idea however. It could easily work in the front with the shafts vertical, but the rear is more shallow. Not enough depth to burry the shaft. Im going to do some more field testing with what I have now. If it turns out to be too cumbersome, I may revisit some of these other ideas.

beautiful job. Nicely done.

(On as side note, is that a 2008 date on the tank? If so, would that mean you lost 4 years already out of 10 or 12 (IIRC) tank official life before recertification? Maybe ask for a newer one?)

This guy here on MUD built a similar system with hydraulic arms, maybe it will give you some ideas!

EDIT: You have to go to about the 3rd page to get to what I'm talking about.
