Your build-up is inspiring me, not that picture in particular :)
The pictures at the lake were much better :)

ok, please provide me a link to another product that meets the specs, size, and mounting of the Rigid SR-M flush mount. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rigid-Indus...Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c8ba1e365&vxp=mtr

I would love a cheap fleaBay version of these lights. They are really neat, but the price is atrocious. I haven't seen any knockoff versions of these yet.

Close enough for most everyone else.

It was pretty cool when Dan threatened litigation for talking about a certain Chinese light company. Ill buy vision x or nordic lights over rigid if I ever decide to drop the coin. Already have some vision x lights actually...

Those are nice lights, but they're massive. The ones Finny linked are more of a side marker light, about the size of our red side markers in the rear quarter panel.

Inspiring you to spend money??

Here's a nice visual. Some Jeep guys use them to replace the stock reverse light in their taillights

those rigids are not that bright at all!.....i have had better luck with bajadesigns

Man I could 3 link my rig, go part time 4x4 and get the marlin crawler gears for the price two Rigid light bars and a few small pods!

Get that PT kit done! It's will be easy for you considering what you've done so far!
Installed the LOKKA last weekend, pretty straight forward. Bought the cheap bearing puller from HF Item #3979 on sale for 24.99 and used a 20 off on that, then used my press to get the bearing off. Used a combo of items to press the bearing back on, spider gear, then VC and then an old wheel bearing race. The hardest part of the entire job was dicking with that bearing.

There is nothing magical about Rigid LED lights. All of the quality LED light bars and pods use CREE LED's. Rigid does not make LED's. Rigid designs and builds the heatsinking, electronics, and wiring for the LED's. Does Rigid produce a high quality light bar? Yes. Is there light bar worth 5 to 10 times what you can find on ebay and amazon? Hell no.

Agreed, Rigid is nice but priced way too high, they are the Tiffany's of LED's.

Those reverse ones J shows from heeps are the diffused lenses. They have a spot lense and a fog pattern as well, almost 800 lumens per light... I didn't check the specs of the ones you used J, are they bright or just marker lights? Seemed like markers at first glance...

Yeah the ones I used in the frame horns are nice, but not a fog or spot light. Intended to be used as a side marker.

Thanks for the tips! Haven't ordered the spool yet, but I think I'll get it all done while I'm working on the 4WU 3-link. Brian said it should be ready to ship soon. That means it's time to put her on jack stands and get to cutting :)

I still don't understand why people go for Rigid. Don't get me wrong, I think they make a great product! I just don't know anytime I'll ever take a sledgehammer or torch to my lightbar like they do in their commercials. I know this is kind of hypocritical on my part as I am getting Rigid pods for fog lights but I went with a knockoff 20" bar to go in the center of my new bumper.

^ the only conversation here is about rigid light pods, specifically flush mount ones to use as fogs, and no one has been able to provide an alternative...

I think there's a misunderstanding. Finny is looking at the Rigid SR-M or equivalent to use in the ends of frame of the 4x4 Labs front bumper. As far as I know, there is no knock off version of this light. The flush mount pods you guys are talking about are a different application, way to big for this.

For reference, the SR-M would go at the end of the frame like so, I used a cheap LED side marker light

Thanks Al! The wheels are "Strike 6" by Level 8. Level 8 wheels are mainly sold through Discount Tire/America's Tire Co. I've also seen them on ebay and Amazon. Good luck

Thank you sir! I've only had the headlights installed for about 4 months and my truck lives in the garage most of the time. So it's too soon to comment on them lasting or holding up. But I really don't see any issue with them. I think they look great. The only potential issue is the plastic brackets. It feels softer than OEM and easier to bend so who knows how long these will last before they break. The mounting tabs on most OEM lights are broken by now too. These really should have been made with a metal backing plate.
