Those anodized fittings look sweet! Thanks for sharing🤘

These are rad, ever plan to make a 3fe version?
A 3FE version is on the project list! The biggest hurdle we have is finding a 3FE rig to do the prototyping/testing. We are currently working on the turbo/SC version for the 80 series, and we're also developing a 2UZ version since that engine was widely used across many platforms (100 series, Tundra, Sequoia, 4Runner).

Not long ago I emailed you asking if the standard 1fz unit is compatible with forced induction because I had already purchased a kit from you. Based on your answer it seemed I could go ahead and run the standard kit on my current project which will be turbo charged. Now you tell us you are developing g a kit specifically for a1fz with forced induction. I need to return the kit I have. It has yet to be unboxed.

Hey there, we also received your PM, but since you posted here first we’ll respond here first.

We replied to your email on the 18th regarding boosted applications, and shared the following…

“The answer to your question is both yes and no. Let me explain...

As far as CFM and pressures, the catch can is rated to handle boosted applications. However, its small size is both a pro and a con. On the positive side, the compact design allows it to be mounted inconspicuously in the intended position. On the downside, its capacity is limited.

For vehicles with small to moderate amounts of blow-by, the catch can works well and typically only needs to be emptied every few weeks or months, depending on the amount of blow-by and driving conditions. In boosted applications, things get trickier because you’re dealing with both engine blow-by and the added crankcase pressures of boosted applications. In the worst case scenario, high blow-by combined with increased crankcase pressure, the catch can’s capacity may simply be too small.

We’ve been working on a better solution using a larger catch can for boosted applications. The main differences with this kit are the larger capacity and a different mounting location. Unfortunately, we haven’t finalized how to bring this version to market yet. The catch can it’s designed around is significantly more expensive, which means the kit price would also be higher.

One option we’re considering is offering the kit without the catch can, allowing customers to purchase it separately. Another option would be a made to order kit, which would mean longer lead times but would allow us to provide the option to the community.

You can read more about it here: EPIC Cruisers - Turbo/SC - Oil Catch Can Kit - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/epic-cruisers-turbo-sc-oil-catch-can-kit.1365417/

We never received any form of reply to that email until now. Just to be clear, we’ve always noted that the current kit has not been tested on boosted applications. This is stated in this thread, and also in the “warnings” section of the product description on our website. While on paper the catch can should work fine, we aren’t comfortable advertising it that way without us personally testing it.

As for returns, our policy and process is also clearly outlined on our website. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, your order was placed over 4 months ago. That said, we are a small business and we try to do right by people. Since your kit is still unused and you’re clearly not happy with it, we will make an exception and accept the return for a full refund. Please reach out via email and we will get the process started. Your refund will be issued once we receive the unused kit, in line with our policy.

Lastly, regarding the boosted kit, it is still in development and may not be released, or it may only be offered as a partial kit due to the much higher cost of components. This was also covered in the reply email we sent you, which also included the link to the forum thread.

Ordered!!! Thank you for putting these together.
Question. I live in CA. Is this something I need to remove before smog visual inspection? I feel like this is something they'd flag us for since it modified the emissions. Sort of. No biggy just wondering.

Thanks for your order, we appreciate the support!🤘

As far as the question - the product is intended for off road use only, and for inspections vehicles are typically expected to appear and be stock. It’s best to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

First seven kits are shipping out tomorrow! Thanks for the support🤘

It's become a bit of a tradition to throw in a small surprise (🚙) into a random order. This first round of kits shipping out has one of these surprises, and we have one more that will be thrown in at random into a future order!

I've run my own version for 20 years. I've never had to remove it for smog in CA. YMMV of course.

I'm installing mine and will see if it is noticed. I've gone to the same smog place and sometimes they don't pop the hood and then the next tech wantz to inspect everything. You just never know out here. 🤣

Three more kits shipped out today! One of them being the first turbo/SC kit, so we threw in some extra goodies for the early adopter. Thanks for all the support🤘

Have a few kits left of both versions. Get your soon before they sell out again!

Just put in an order. For those that think this is expensive they don't understand time and money. It's easier and better use of my time to just order this as someone else has figured it out and its' a clean solution. That's worth the extra $60 bucks.

Also, I have a supercharger and have used this exact catch can for years until it broke (my fault) so I deleted it. It worked just fine. It did not fill up ever. I would say I would drain it at the gas station maybe every 4 to 5 fill ups.

Looking forward to receiving this!

We really appreciate the kind words. We agree, our goal is to offer a competitively priced kit that delivers real value and convenience, providing a complete solution that eliminates the need to find, source, modify, or fabricate parts.

Your order shipped earlier this week. With the incoming winter storm, there may be some minor delays, but we hope it arrives as quickly as possible.

Thanks again for the support!
