Just now put all the peices together for the first time since coming up with this paint scheme. I saw these two colors combined on some hot rod stuff at the shop that did my powder coating.

Tell me what you think...

Not my cup 'o tea, but it is nicely done.

Black would have been good. Even dark metallic blue ala Degnol. That orange is....suprisingly orange. The worst part is, now you will have to keep the motor spotless, instead of full of dust and dirt like the rest of us.

Adds a little pop for sure. I am planning on wrinklepaint finishing the valve cover like Bjowett did to his.

Is your windshield cracked?

I usually do clean it a lot...

I like to have my engine compartments as clean as possible. An old habbit that has served me well on every vehicle I've had.

I think I saw a pic of that somewhere here...

He's the guy in Boston or somewhere in the Northeast that also had a 1FZFE overhaul and had the power steering idler shaft bushing aka UB2700 ruined by a machine shop.

The windshield is cracked, caught a bit of debris in New Orleans right after Katrina....what a mess that was...is...always has been.

Fugly.

I hear you, jamisobe. When I put everything together there will be slightly more silver showing to balance it all out. On the other hand, I'm not opposed to irritating the sensitivities of HGTV designers. I would like to take one for a ride down the river with me, or through a mud pit just to see the reaction.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the supercharger will tend to even things up a bit as well.

Looks like your a Tenn. fan....:flipoff2:
