Was wondering:

Did the early FJ4x bezel embossed "LAND CRUISER" come delivered to any other countries than the USA?

If so, were they only for English-speaking countries?

Were they ever factory-embossed in other languages(and no, to the members of the Bezel Police Force, I don't mean reading them upside-down, or backwards!!)?

Were they an option, or were they delivered on all models during those several years, which were..........?

Were they given a specific part number, which is.....?

Hope I posted this in the correct forum.

Thanks.

yes...

in 61
538 were produced for japan
249 sold in us (some however may be fj25 holdovers)
then the remaining 3500+- exported to other countries

in 62
415 were produced for japan
598 sold in us
then the remaining 2900+- exported worldwide

clarify 61 total was 4305 and total for 62 was 3990 thats alot of bezels :)

61 and 62 most common years for embossed bezel...the change over was in 63 sold and imported

no they were exported worldwide...just like worldwide the name on the front was TOYOTA and emblem on the side was Land Cruiser...the embossing was 'Land Cruiser'

Were they ever factory-embossed in other languages

nope 'Land Cruiser' was the title name in all countries ...except Toyota do Brasil Ltda. that produced the Bandeirante for their own market.

It wasnt an option...it was just the way they came

It had its own part#...but has been superceeded to the Un-Bossed part#....numbers escape me sorry.

and as usuall I claim AFAIK ;)

This one came off a 63, but it could of been a hold over 62.
