I think you would be miles ahead by buying like 8 colors (same as my # of fuses) of really good wire with insulation mice don't want to eat and really good connectors. One of those wire label makers would be very handy to mark the ends and maybe along the length every few feet.

Hopefully they use more than what you can get in rodent-resistant birdfood. We used the disco inferno stuff to keep the squirrels off the feeders and I swear they just have a taste for spicy food now...
