Sorry 1k ohm I think is correct. There has been much discussion and analysis. Some said around 4K. Others said 1k works. I believe the FM specs support the use of the 1k resister. Just picked one up.

I ended up using the 4.7k resistor from Radio Shack. Got it a thousand miles after installing homemade block off plates. Have a drawer with a few more if you'd like one to try out. PM me
I was under the impression it was not for the 95-97
I think you are right. I think it is for the OBDI. My mistake.

i too have a question related to egr stuff. i deleted my egr awhile back but haven't yet taken off the air manifold or the belt driven air pump. if i were to reattach the outlet air hose back to the air manifold would offer any benefit the combustion chamber or intake manifold?
