My son and I are in the throws of installing his rebuilt engine. We are trying the EGR and Pair delete.
He now has a question. After reading all the post and threads we have hit a wall.

We have pulled everything from under the intake manifold. Looking at the fuel pressure regulator, there is a port for a vacuum sensing hose.

What should the vacuum sensing port be plumbed to to make sure the fuel pressure regulator?

Thanks.

Up to the manifold
Where does the fuel pressure regulator VSV come into play then? I'm not at home to remind myself how it's plumbed.

Thanks ajax1. The test associated with your was cut off.

By the way, where does the fuel return line connect. I am looking all of the place and can't seem to see where or what the fuel return line connects.

You'd get rid of charcoal canister vent to atmosphere put filter on it and stuff it in wheel well

Just pick up a charcoal inline fuel filter from a parts store. Simple.

Do you have a specific one in mind?

You just take one of the small inline fuel filters that have the fiberglass/paper element in them and remove the paper element. Fill it with activated charcoal. You can buy new charcoal from a pet store or take some of the charcoal out of the charcoal canister. Just make sure to get one of the filters that has the replaceable filter element so you can open it up. Most pet stores sell pelletized charcoal so you don't have to worry about it falling back down the vent line.

I've also read about guys making a filter out of PVC parts. If you do a search on google for "inline charcoal fuel filter" you'll find hot rod forums where they have done it. I didn't want to mess with that and though it looked hokey.

Being a 97 you are going to throw codes eliminating this stuff so you'll have to check that out, you will not have pair system unless it is 93 94, obd1 93 and 94s do not have codes for pair fuel vsv, there is code 71 for egr that you short, on your 97 you'll need the resistor in temp sensor
