Which spring and spacer?
The highlander edition already comes with 1" taller springs front and rear. So the fronts are those 1" springs with a spacer, rear lift springs are from a toytec "leveling" kit installed by p.o.

Which spring and spacer?
I've also seen simpler ones for under 500. I'm building camping/trail rig not hardcore but capable.What's your idea of breaking the bank?
I went with 1st gen Tundra billy 5100's up front with 1st gen Tundra TRD springs then for the rear I went with OME 890 coils and 80 series land cruiser rear shocks from the auto parts store. I enjoy this setup.
On my previous 4runner I had the same setup in the front except I had 80 series 8 wrap coils in the rear with 80 series shocks along with a Sonran steel adjustable pan hard bar and stainless steel extended brake lines.
Then on my 1st 4runner I was running OME all the way around. Springs/coils struts/shocks.
How about this one:3in Toyota Suspension Lift Kit (96-02 4Runner 4WD)
I only see one bucket there...
bucket?
we now have a cryptic bucket in this thread.@MScruiser can fill you in
That was true till I realized that's what's on there already. I want a little more lift and tire.I thought 31's were the goal and also would think that size would fit bone stock.
@MScruiser can fill you in
How much lift are you after? Didn't you say it had 265/75R16s on it now? That is just shy of a 32. When you get much bigger you are going to be opening up more doors than you may realize. If you want the height, then that would get it, but you are going to put the CV's in a bind, so the Diff drop will be in order, then you are looking at the other components on the front that you are going to accelerate wear on as well.
I know that says it will clear a 31 in the add, but with 3" you can get into a 33"/ 285 with little work, but then tire to upper control arm clearance can become an issue and a spacer or new wheels could be needed, etc., etc., etc. Just want to make sure you know that while the 3rd gens are great platforms, like others, when you get too high or too wide on tires, other factors come into play that will need attention as well. Cause and effect.
@LoneRanger, I'm sure I have a few pairs of 80 springs left if you decide to go that route.
