If you keep the stock bumpers, you should clear 265/75r16s without any major issues. I have a full set up off a 99 highlander package (1" taller than base off the lot) which will be needing a new home once I get my ICONs mounted in a few weeks. Aside from that, a spacer out back and one on top of the coil hat up front will get you about 3/4" or so. I had some top hat spacers from Wheelers, but I don't know who ended up with them.

I love my 3rd gen. Bought 3 years ago with 169k on the clock, currently setting at 274k and still going strong. Only pic I had handy.

Nice. What bumper is that?

Thanks, it's a Shrockworks. Limited width with pre-runner hoop. I ordered it bare and color matched it to the cladding and flares.

I need to loose the running boards, but they have protected the body from rock chips so well and my little girl uses them to get in and out, so for now they stay.

I was wondering about that. Can you pull the running boards but leave the fender flares?

Yes, I think it is 5 bolts and a couple nuts, it'd take 15 minutes or so. I've done it once while a guy used my truck to measure for some sliders for another 4runner. I liked the look and kinda hated to put them back on.

Nah, I'm going to stick with them for now. They are BFG KO2s. They are so close to the stock size that I haven't noticed any real change in power or mileage and so I will probably stick with that size.
