Took it on the trail over the holiday weekend. Found a little oil seeping from the front diff, so I resealed with diff gasket maker and topped off with fresh 80W90.

Swapped the roof rack. Found the OEM gutter mount one on Cruiserparts.net. Took some slight modifying to get it on.

While I wait for the new manifolds, the new headlights arrived!
I just pulled the bulbs from the original lights and the popped right in. Pretty painless.
I love the look of these quad headlights so much more. Everything is reversable to OEM if I want to switch back.

Hey!
I would like to do the same, was it easy to adopt the headlights for left hand driving? I thought they only came on RHD australian 80s.
Thanks

Yeah they are easy to adjust and plugged right into the Euro plugs

Yes, they are amazing. And inexpensive. One thing I did was replace the 3 bolt flange coming out of the turbo output with a V band. It is much easier to open if need to. Next step is an intercooler. 😀View attachment 2575078
Nice! Love this idea! Yeah I’m sure someday I’ll get an intercooler... for now, Im pretty happy with how everything performs

You never know how good chocolate is, until you taste it the first time.... ;)

does that exhaust go over the frame? Wonder if it would fit up (closely) to a USDM 80 series. Mind sharing shipping cost? Maybe some additional wider angle pics showing overall routing? At $629 plus shipping that’s not a bad price. It says 304 SS.

Haha sounds like I gotta come take your rig for a spin
Always welcome. Come by from hot sunny southern CA to the Bay Area! Contact me directly also via IG.

The key is not also performance, but stress on the engine. It will last longer. The reason the exhaust manifold cracked is because heated engine. With the intercooler, it runs 200F cooler. I can climb the Sierras in cruise control at 70mph, 5th gear and the EGT is 750F pre-turbo.

Yeah..... I’m gonna have to add that to the list for sure. I’ve becomeobsessed with lowering those EGTs

I’ll see what photos I can take. As far as I know, the routing is the same as a FZJ80, however this attached to the turbo manifold... so some cost I’m work would be needed. All in I spent $900 US
