Due to RIGHT Tail Light Assemblies make a LEFT?

Those weepholes are important. The PO of my '75 reversed the lenses and had them upside down. Well, we have had some rain this winter in CA and while the truck was outside of TLC 4x4 waiting for it's repairs the right light housing filled with water. Amazingly, the lights still worked, but when I opening it up, the water poured out and everything was rusted solid. Off to the internet to get a replacement! Glad I ordered under the wire!
Same thing for me. Noticed PO had tried to silicone up the weep holes. My question is will the US spec assembly direct plug and play with a Colombian/general market truck? I'm about to order two rights, an extra lens (LH) and gasket (LH) and put all new tail lights on the truck.

Nice work kurt!

Anyone have a source(ie...cheap) for the darn light shields that attach to the lens?

Oddly my 82 is missing them.....and I kinda hate to take them out of my new lamps. (Bought oem lens and gaskets to refreash)
I had to fab a few of these for mine after losing 3 of them.

I try to get people to buy these but all you can do is suggest ...:)
