Drawer system designing

I have been pondering making a DIY kit for drawers. I built my own set a few months ago for a long trip we did and used it as a sleeping platform and storage.

The thing has been great!

I now have a CNC machine made for milling plywood / Flat stock.

Looking for some feed back, these are super simple, no slides , easy for any one to assemble with a square, glue and drill box of a screws. There are finger joints and slots for very simple assembly. 1/2 cabinet ply. Cover with what ever you want, paint, carpet, wax, bed liner. Its also all parameter based so I can change dimensions for other needs or vehicles.

No slides? That's sweet. I'm not a fancy guy. I just want drawers in back to keep me from being killed by loose stuff in an accident.

I was going to crudely assemble something like this on my own but I'd be interested to see where you land pricewise on this. It would certainly save lots of time if I could buy a kit.

Ikea inspired drawers. I like it. Self assembly, simple, functional, and way more sturdy than Ikea materials. Excellent, carry on.

This is what i fitted. @cruzerDave put these together based on a similar concept to yours. Mine are sweet and I doubt I could have made a home brew job at this level of quality for the same price.

I'd be interested but would only want one drawer that was roughly 20" wide total since i mounted my 35 in the cargo area. Thanks to @LandCruiserPhil for a solid design. I'd then mount the fridge to the top on a tilt slide.

You using a Puma compressor? I’ve been using co2, and it works great, but I’m always worried about “do I have enough”? I’m debating going back to a Puma or converting my ac to OBA...... decisions, decisions! Set-up looks great though!

It's called the Solo drawer and drawer ID is 18.5" (side plywood not installed - hides the structure)

I'm curious about strength rating as well as price. Also, what did you use on top of 2nd row seats as sleeping platform?

The backs of the second row seats are used when sleeping. The seats are propped up a little bit (supplied) to make it all level. I'll get some pictures after the fireball rises in the sky.

As far as strength we have slept 4 on top, covered it with gear, large water containers. I even grabbed some 3 ft wide wood stumps and dropped them on with no issues. If you wanted they can be built from 3/4 ply instead of 1/2. That will add a significant amount of weight.
