The daily staring contest when we meet up with the local deer herd. Wish I could hear their thoughts.

Deer or cats… no chance. Yet, they’re happy loving friendly dogs. Unless you’re a deer or a cat.

In Europe visiting my daughter.
Unfortunately we couldn’t take Sassy 😔
She in good hands but I have never seen her look so sad.
If she could talk, where are MY PEOPLE

We would never send her to a doggy daycare!
We have a good friend house sitting for us so Sassy is in her own home/yard and Sassy has known her since she was a puppy.

I really miss her !! It’s really amazing how we become so attached to our K9 family and hard to comprehend how others could miss treat them.

THAT is the truly best way to board your dogs…. @Broski When my kids were 15-17 we took that one last kid family trip and drove to Disney. The 2 goldens were boarded at a local kennel. For the 11 days we were gone…they would not eat, walk, play or even go out of the “pen”. Made us feel like crap.

That was 29 years ago. My wife and I do not go anywhere… I cannot imagine e how these 3 would react. If one of our kids is not able to stay here at the house, we’ll just probably do the Gene Hackman thing 😳

We are leaving home for a couple weeks to drive Lincoln Highway to promote our local dog rescue, and our usual travel girl is 15 and does not thrive on the road anymore, so we are hiring a family from church to live in our house to care for her, the cat and a few rescue dogs. We know how you feel.

Agreed, Marry lives in the apartment on the back of our property and Sassy runs down to meet her when she comes home from work.
She is able to take Sassy to work with her so she’s not left alone all day.
And she’s staying in the main house so Sassy is as comfortable as possible.
It’s the first arrangement we made when planning our trip.

I'm sitting home with the pups while my wife is vacationing at Hilton Head Island with friends. Why ? Because we couldn't find a sitter.

But we're enjoying breaking the house rules.

Pig finally calming down after getting scolded for hopping a fence to chase the neighbor’s pony while screaming at it. He’s at least 10 years old and makes me pick him up to put him in the 100. Pig is an a******.

Windows didn’t chase anything but a spot next to whoever was turning wrenches.
