Sourced my own black stainless hardware from here. 100 bolts + washers for ~$56. Well worth the extra cost! 3/4 length is what you need.

The roof channel mounts are supplied with stainless nyloc nuts. The rest of the hardware is all zinc-coated with flat washers and the nuts are all captured in the aluminum members themselves.

What're people using for edge trim? Adhesive-attached or press on? What is the thickness of the skirting/fairing material?

That's the stuff you want.
The rack is 1/8" thick.
You can even line the larger grab handle holes with it.
For the handles it helps to open up the trim a bit before installation.
