That black PC rack is amazing! The zinc hardware gives it a very cool, industrial look, but I think I'll be replacing mine with black oxide coated stainless button head fasteners to make it a bit more understated. Can't wait!

Damn it Ben. My factory rack gets used once a year - to haul a Christmas tree home. But now, I'm convinced it needs to go... that I need a Dissent Off-Road rack. These threads should come with warnings.

This looks incredible. I definitely want to purchase one.

Does the front piece touch the roof of the vehicle where the edge trim is on the roof rack? If the edge trim wasn't on the roof rack, would the roof rack touch the vehicle? If not, what about at high speeds or violent bumps?

Are you by any chance able to bend that front piece so you could bring it down to the windshield?

It does touch the roof,
I use a bulb type weather seal that hits the roof.
I tested a few different ways on the fairing and this was by far the most silent!
Literally can not hear any wind noise from the rack.
The bend emeoyld have to be a pretty dramatic bend to follow the windshield and will not be offered that way due to manufacturing difficulty.
Let me know if you would like to order.
Thanks.

Here are the rtt load bars on the Tacoma, the LC bars will be the same.
These have the new awning brackets that can attach to the rtt bars or to the rack without the rtt bars.
Im debating on using star bolts or standard bolts, the star bolts would make it quick and easy to remove without any tools but with standard bolts and a cordless impact it would come off even quicker.
The load bars will remain attached to the rtt and cradle over the existing load bars, then they bolt on to the existing side bolts on the rack,
The holes where the awning brackets bolt on also double as hook points for a hoist if desired.
No more fumbling with the bolts under the tent while bolting it to the roof rack!
All mounting bolts are easily accessed on the side of the rack and the entire tent with bars can be removed and reinstalled in about 5 min.

Nice Ben! Is there anyway the awning mounts could be lower, so the awning is similar height as the rack?

I like the high mounts. I can still use lights underneath the awning
Yeah, the high mounts are great for use with a rtt or for tall people like myself. And like you said, there is usable space underneath.

Looking good on the tent bars/awning mounts and I like the edge protector application. Is the edging something you'll be offering, or just playing with ideas?

Question on the fairing, what is the largest light bar that will fit, 40"? What about a curved light? Any mock-up photos showing a curved bar?

@benc Any updates on when these will start to ship? Thanks.
Hopfully this week.
I'm still waiting on the coater to finish up.
We have some pretty bad wild fires that are really close and the power has been out sence Sunday so that may play a role as well.
I will do my best to get some out by the end of the week.
Thanks!

I may offer it if I can get a good price in bulk, otherwise 30' is about $30 on Amazon.

Yes, most 42" light bars will fit.
I will try and get the exact dimensions and post those up soon.
A curved bar will not fit with the fairing. It would need some modifications to fit.

I learn that lesson long time ago, I don't open any of Bens posting unless my credit card is secured on a lead envelope..
