Seeing his work. I am not surprised he has plenty of people demanding his time.

me too

@benc has been out of the office. Last I spoke to him, his was planning to start the rear bumper soon. Not positive, but I believe he’ll be back in the shop on Monday the 10th. I’ll call him then.

Hopefully he’ll chime in here.

Spoke with Ben this morning. We’re still missing parts from Slinky to complete the front suspension. The front coils and radius arms are 7 weeks late at this point. The LCP rear sway bar links have been delivered, completing the rear suspension. He’ll update soon.

I have a trip to Canyonlands NP the first week of October. Hoping to have everything buttoned up and ready by then too. The ship 4XOverland sent their Slinky parts on has been holding everything up for my build.

Ben is close to starting the fabrication on the rear bumper. He thinks it will go pretty quick with minimal alterations from the 100 series bumper design. I’d say you have a good chance at meeting your October timeline.

I highly suggest calling Ben to get as realistic a time line as possible. Putting some money on the table will likely increase the likelihood of success.

I was calling/discussing with ben prior to your rig becoming #1 so i took a step back to let him work on it.
I'll reach out once hes had some time to actually look at the fab/differences needed.

Funny, guess i'll see you at canyonlands in october

That would be cool. I’ve got a few buddies mountain biking the White Rim Trail. I’ll be their support truck. Planning to wheel Elephant Hill in the Needles district, but am on my own. Would like to meet up if it works out. Do you have HAM or GMRS?

Curious if your bumper build is going to be all steel or partial aluminum? Also any update on how Ben has planned to work the hitch? Cutting into the cross member? So eager to see some pics of this build!!!

While I no longer have an 80, I can say that the Tacoma bed rack I bought from @benc is top notch quality. The fit and finish of his products is second to none. If I ever decide to replace my bumpers I’ll be calling him again, that’s for certain.

The bumper will be available in steel and aluminum. Ben is going try to design a hitch that meets the needs of most everyone. It would be a removable receiver that would allow towing and removed for better departure angle. He is trying to avoid cutting the crossmember.

Put me down for one...where do I send a deposit?! @Wompom and I are going to share shipping costs as we live pretty close to each other

Go to the website and look at the options for the 100 series. He says they will be the same options. The. Call that number and talk to @benc

When I spoke to him two months ago he wasn't on the rear yet since he was in the design phase still and finishing up the design of the front. He is probably still not wanting to take people's money until they can see what it will look like at least.
