Again I apologize for the absence from this thread! As @TrekboxX said the only sure way to get ahold of me is either email or phone call. It has certainly been a crazy year but we have not slowed down, in fact the opposite. We have added and are in the process of adding several new additions to the shop including a cnc laser, mill, lathe, 3D scanner, new press brake, powder coating, more welding booths ect to hopefully ramp up our production capacity.
We have not officially released the lc200 items yet as a way to control the workflow to a manageable level. I don’t believe it to be wise to constantly release new products when we can’t keep up with our current offerings as some company’s do.
That being said we are taking orders for all of the lc200 items as well as the lx570 and hope to do an official release soon.
We have also been working on some new options for the lc and the 570 which I think will be a great addition to the line.
Here are a few pics of the lx570 with the integrated 30” rigid sae light bar, as well as our rack and front skid.
Again if anyone is interested please reach out via our website and we will reply.
Thanks again for your continued support, especially through these crazy times!

@benc, if I may offer a suggestion...

Your website doesn’t show your complete 200 series offering. If someone is looking for a bumper, skids, etc., how are they supposed to know what’s available? Why would someone call or email if something isn’t shown on your website? Trying to find random posts on this forum isn’t a practical solution.

If your website was up-to-date, even if online ordering wasn’t available at least people might be compelled to reach out. Just one man’s opinion....

Completely agree. At a minimum the website needs to show what's possible.

I get that 100%.
That being said it is somewhat that way to control the work flow. I know that’s not the best way to go about it but a good website = more sales, more sales = longer lead times.
I don’t want to come off the wrong way as we sincerely appreciate all of our customers but as it stands right now we have more orders than ever and marketing is not something that would be wise at this point. There are plenty of other company’s that are great with marketing, great websites and great with social media but have customers that have been waiting for their bumper for close to a year.
We are certainly working towards a better buying experience but I will say that is not what I want to be the driving factor for someone to purchase our products.
I feel many companies have grown to fast and ultimately couldn’t handle it so I have made the decision to grow at a controlled pace.
Hope that makes sense!

I think what he is getting to is at least list the 200 items on the website so guys can look at them and see what is potential for them. That way a buyer can decide if they want to wait for a Dissent product. An easy solution might be to show the 200 products and list them as out of stock and maybe do the email when available dropdown.

I can appreciate that it's nice to look at stuff on a website. I was waiting for a number of items I had seen in photos on Facebook and elsewhere to make it to the menu on the Dissent website, but I reached out late last week and Ben followed-up with me on Monday. We had a long discussion and I came away feeling that I had gotten top notch consulting and am confident that the product I receive will be exactly what I want. He also had great ideas on other projects I am working on. You can't get that from a website and I would gladly take working directly with the artist over a pricelist and a couple of photos on the company site. For my part, and I know everyone is different, I am happy to be able to explain my use scenario and get the design input from the guy who is going to build it. Thanks, Ben.

The point is that not everyone is going to have “seen in photos on Facebook and elsewhere”. Those individuals may go do the Dissent website, not see a product for their vehicle, and move on. Maybe those individuals would be perfectly happy waiting for what is undoubtedly a quality product. Unfortunately, they don’t have an opportunity to make an informed decision because they don’t even know Dissent produces the product they’re interested in.

Glad you had a great experience. I’m not bashing Dissent, just suggesting that there’s a better way to conduct business.

I think anyone that has decided to pull the trigger on an item for their Cruiser will voraciously consume information on the various offerings. A simple Google search will get you to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Mud and really everywhere. (I do not have a Facebook account, but you can access a company's photos and most posts without one) Be that as it may, I respect your opinion on what you see as a better way of conducting business - no disrespect intended.

“ You can't get that from a website and I would gladly take working directly with the artist over a pricelist and a couple of photos on the company site.”

This part of your comment really hits the nail on the head and your overall comment describes my interaction with Ben on my project exactly. After my initial phone consultation I knew that price needed to be moved way down on the priority list because I was going to get exacting detail, quality and customization to my specific needs and it would justify the cost. If I needed a “one size fits all’ experience there are many websites and products to choose from and, thankfully for me, his isn’t it.

I've said it before but I'll reiterate it in a different way, as I'm probably starting to come off as a fan boy.

Ben and his team give off an unmatched experience for those that take the effort to call and talk to them. The extra influx of orders that a fully decked out website would bring puts them in a position that it seems they won't be able to match that experience that people have enjoyed over the years. Clearly this financial model works as they are as busy as ever and people keep singing their praise.

I have yet interact with Ben personally at Dissent, but hope to soon....I completely respect and understand his business philosophy and model, and feel he is on the right path to provide excellent product and an unmatched customer experience. There are plenty of online stores, sites and options for those looking for the boxed goods and run of the mill products... even some very nice products are available this way... I know far too many businesses that haven't had the organization, expertise, management and philosophy to grow their businesses correctly and successfully... there is something very valuable to be learned here from doing things right, in my humble opinion... even if it doesn't make everyone happy

I get that 100%.

That does make sense.
Even Slee’s rear bumper was a year or two into sales/installs before it finally showed up on their product page. Was always so back-ordered that there was probably little point in teasing everyone when they’d be in for a long wait.

I have had some great interaction with Ben over the past couple weeks. Email, a long phone call, more emails. This is in regards to a complex set of things I am going to have Dissent do this winter (front and rear bumpers, winch, lighting) and I needed to nail down the options. I have a 2016 LC. The reality is that Ben’s crew is 12 weeks out on appointments. At the same time they are going through the growing pains of expansion - new/upgraded equipment to make all this stuff as well as additional staff and training. Once they get through all of that they will be able to produce at a much more rapid rate.

I just went through the entire 27 page thread. Nothing like a pandemic and being stuck at your mother I laws house on Christmas to go down forum rabbit holes!! i have always liked dissents style. I have had a couple 100 series builds in the past and have been too impatient for the lead times. Now in a 200 series.... I’m thinking i can be patient enough for a front bumper. It wasn’t too clear if the new full style bumper with the wings to the fender line was available for the pre 2016 models? My 2013 right side clip seems to be cracked / broken and snaps Out. I am thinking this is why I need to replace my bumper, right?
This will be the story I tell my wife anyways. I’ll give him a call and get some clarification if nobody here can clarify.
PS I have met a Ben at a couple HIH events in the past( 6&9) He’s a stand up dude!!,

unfortunately, the full replacement is only available for the 2016+ (pretty sure). The original low profile would fit of course.
