If I can get it off, I will be replacing them with those Toyota allen fill plugs that were shown above. I've been searching the forums for information this morning and didn't see anyone (So far) mention the size of the socket to get these things off.

I hope I don't have to jack up the truck to do this.

You don't have the Harbor Freight $20 Impact Socket Set (Deep well or Regular)?
Leave it in the truck with their Breaker bar as cheap insurance.
Good luck breaking it as I've tried pretty hard..... It's actually a decent set.

Looks like the price is around $26 and a 25" breaker bar is $12 dollars.

Good idea, Thanks!

While you are there pick up the electric impact wrench (if you don't have an air tool setup). Its not the swiss watch of tools (heavy, clunky, loud) but does a pretty good job of knocking bolts loose for $40. Impact sockets are a must, don't blow out your chrome sockets trying to figure out why.

Napa premium 80w90. Just change often.

Should be very close to a 15/16"the 15/16 fit better than the metric socket.
I also recommend spraying the fill plug with liquid wrench. Don't bother using a regular ratchet. Spend the money and buy a breaker bar of this is the first time doing it...trust me.

Differential is a closed system, so if level is low, find out where it is going before adding more.
These are a nice upgrade:

Add the Allen head (Hex Head) that fits, to your on board tool kit.

I think it is 21 mm. Maybe 24 mm. You should replace it with the Allen head plugs.

What is the PN for the allen head plugs to replace the fill and drain plugs on the T-case? Is it the same as the diff (Toyota PN: 90341-18021)?
