We have become so F*****g PC as a society that my 12 YO son saw a T-Shirt in a store depicting 9 faces of Star Wars Storm Troopers (all the same pic) with a different caption under each. (Sleepy, Happy, Sad, etc....) and his first comment to it was:
"That is SOOOO racist!"
WTF? Son, do you even understand what the term RACIST even MEANS?
Yeah, Dad. But it's racist.
No, you don't know what it means.
Yeah, I do...

And on it went until I finally gave up.

We have brainwashed our kids into thinking EVERYTHING is racist. I could say an apple is red, but that would be racist because it is an apple, not a red, especially since there are yellow apples, green apples, red apples, and then there are Honeycrisp, Red Delicious, Granny Smith,......... My God, how apples must hate oranges.

You can thank the federal government because they dictate what public school teaches. It's the broken institution they use to train us to be their good little law abiding tax payers. Remember, without us the gov is screwed! That's why they like us to be brain dead zombies that are mostly concerned with how we will pay our bills and then there's the way low distracting addictions like TV and social websites that most kids grow up being baby sat by because the government has failed to keep our streets safe enough for kids to go outside and experience reality.

The federal government does not dictate public school curriculum. It is set on the state level.
But, by all means, please rant on.

Do you remember the program called "no child left behind" that was given George juniors stamp of approval in 2001 or there about and terminated at the end of 2014? It all starts at the White House with macro managing. Bilt4me hit the nail on the head. Besides, the OP simply abbreviated the word "Japanese". You can call me what you want because there is no doubt in my mind what I am. I wish this peace of mind for all people.

I didn't call you anything, I corrected an error in a statement you made. Again, under NCLB, states made their individual standards, not the federal government.

For the record I have no problem with the general ideology of your rant, I just prefer it be accurate.
As far as "Jap" being short for Japanese, it came about in WW2 and is slang any way you cut it. Ask any WW2 veteran who fought in the south pacific. There is no doubt that it has a derogatory tone to it, even though the OP might not have intended it.
Personally I don't give a crap either way and I am the very last person to talk about political correctness, but lets not polish a turd and call it gold.
