Greetings
Some countries in Europe are now requiring diesel particulate filters to enter cities or Euro 4+ norms to be met. Is it possible to 'add on' a DPF and not screw up an amazing truck? Or does anyone know a work-around?

Many thanks

Worse...with the advent of cameras in cities they simply "track" who/ what enters" and I suppose somewhere check vs. some database. So far striking out on finding an aftermarket approach like adding a diesel particle filter of 'ad blue' approach-- but determined to investigate at my HDJ100 is simply the perfect vehicle and will go and go until I am no longer here....hopefully someone somewhere in the world has already figured this out... fingers crossed!

In addition to the DPF, you'll need an ECU that will periodically do a DPF regeneration, essentially sending unburned fuel to bake and clean the DPF which would clog the exhaust system otherwise. We have a pre-DEF DPF Sprinter that does exactly this and can tell when the regeneration is happening via EGT monitor.
