I still think that driveshaft is super slick. What's the P/N for the bearing?

Are you going to mount it directly to the frame or make a bracket to bring it down a bit lower?

Are you worried about the transfer case section vibrating since it only has a single u-joint?

It's a 208 series. Many different manufactures but I got the Chinese $14 one but its a 1.5" ID on the bearing.
I doubt it will vibrate much if noticeable. I hope I dont eat my words but I hope to have the bearing rigid mounted to the inner frame rail(removable) and so that the tcase to bearing shaft is on the same plains. If that happens, and with minimal tcase movement I should be ok....

Had to drop the transmission to replace front seals, it was leaking like a sieve. As you can see the front seals (front main, and pump seal) were rotten and fell apart.

With the auto trans in the truck now I'm running an art-Carr shifter. I'm going to build a center console that's integrated into the roll cage. I needed to make some changes to my original dana300 twin stick setup so I decided to build a cable shifter setup. It's based off the northwest fab kit, but I couldn't justify paying for it since I had shifters, boot, shifter rail tabs, etc.
so I ordered some 48" push pull cables from Midwest Controls with the correct ends and then started to build the shifter box for the console. I'm reluctant to share the photos because it looks ugly right now, it's designed to be 90% hidden within the console I'm building next.
I haven't designed the cable mounts for the tcase yet working on it now.

Keep it up man! Good work on the transmission. I guess those seals are always to be replaced if the transmission is on the ground.

I had to change the layout of my planned cable shifters. I was planning to build a reverse style but quickly determined I didn't have the room for them, I'd have to cut into the gas tank. So I built them in the standard location. Got the trans mounted back in too..

Hey Guys, anyone know if anyone makes custom length 27 spline inner axles? Longfields only make 30 spline custom lengths.....

What's the length you need? I'll look around for some other Toyota application that might work for you.

Have you called Longfield yet? Get ready for next weekend!!!!

I havent spoken to anyone at longfield just yet but i believe they only make 30 spline shafts at custom lengths. According to http://www.cruiseroutfitters.com/tech_front_axle.html
there arent any obvious factory applications that will work.

try Carl at justdifferentials.com

i just got off the phone with someone over there and he is looking into for me now. Verdict unknown....he didnt seem optimistic.

I could easily order from Longfield but id prefer to get a 27spline for now until i can upgrade to 30 splines later.
