I think this is the obstacle called High Dive.
And I always just called this the gap, but I know it has a name.

I have to ask how the trip went? I did read on the other "What did you do with your 80..." that your brake booster went out. Bummer. Glad you made it home safely.
As far as the 305s how did you like the gearing & climbing etc...
Did you get those Doetch Tech shocks on?

Hey Don, show us some pics of those 305s. I know you have been out wheelin. Don't hold out on us. Post em up!
Any more details on the radiator support replacement? I need to do it and haven't found much.

Everything is just bolted in. I had recovered the refrigerant, and only pulled the condenser, working around the radiator and even the bumper. Not sure what pictures I posted before, but here's some in order of disassembly.
The hardest part was probably working it past the A/C lines without bending them too much. That, and lining the fenders up. The gap on the right side of my hood is still a little wide.
Laid out the parts in order.
That line is not very flexible.

It looks almost like some of those old picture links died, though not sure why.
Anyways, after losing another tire to tread separation, I went with 315s from America's Tire. That was late October, just before TnS at Pismo.
These guys haven't been through my safety training!
Old ones still on here:
They static balanced the tires with sticky weights, so yesterday I finally tried to remedy the perpetual steering vibration at 20-40 MPH.
Five tire rotation & dynamic balance with Road Force machine. I don't think any of them passed the Road Force specs, though.
Spot where the sticky weights were.
Pile of weights.
Now, I have less of the vibration in the steering wheel, but still some overall vibration. I'm pretty sure one of these tires has an out-of-round condition. Gonna have to keep chasing it.

Also did some needed maintenance: Oil change, fuel filter, and exhaust hanger.
The weld broke on this hanger that was installed when I had the Coffin put on.
The shop fixed it, and added another angle piece, but he pointed out that the front hanger near the cat was broken.
I got the new one on there, but something has moved with the overall exhaust system, so I did a bit of tweaking the bracket to make the holes line up better.
New bolts & nuts too, but I'm still not real happy with how it turned out.
When I rebuilt the starter solenoid awhile back, the drain tubes were pretty messed up, so I ordered new ones. Finally put those on yesterday.

Nice update! Sorry you had a bad experience with the 305's tread separation. Having said that how would you compare the ride/driving characteristics between those and the 315's? I know its a common question, just interested in hearing different experience.

This thread got me looking at the rig some more, so I decided to remove a couple unnecessary items.
Did you see what's missing?
I think it looks better without the little fender flare extenders. I actually found out they came with the accessory running boards, so that was their original purpose.
What does MUD say about having them on or off?
Do they serve some function without the running boards?
Do they add another measure of protection for the fender flares?
Am I just asking dumb questions?
