Shane,

Did you do these seats too?

Nope,

I think Jonathon (tlc4x4)sold the seat covers as he did a while back, I think I have pics someplace.

Now that I see them all in the truck I better get on the rears soon.

EDIT. I really need to do a FST....Blue with green canvas top and coral seats!

found the underside of the seat in case any one needs to reassemble after they redo theirs :)

( this was before i took em apart to repaint, driver side )

put some gas down the carb, cranked it for a while then nothing happened, kept cranking it and it was like the battery was dying, and it slowly just stop turning over...

battery shows 12.4 volts on the meter...

overheated starter? fuses slowly go out like that? or am i fawked?

oy

Well, for starters something isnt hooked up correctly.......should've fired up for sure.....
Check your basic engine wiring, distributor if you moved it, points, etc.......

Let it cool and try again.....in the meantime, make sure you havent overlooked the basics.....easy to do when you're putting it back together........

Just for future reference, with fuel down the carb it'll either fire up or not.....no need to stay on the starter any more than a couple spins.....find out why it isnt firing then you can get gas in it and go from there.....

ugh, replaced all the fuses, all electrical works,,,

but the fawker will not turn over ( starter not doign s*** )

did i fry my starter?
stricp the fly wheel?

Battery has power, but it winded down and liek the battery gave out, or the starter...
I have an extra starter...

Can starters over heat or freeze or die?
I was not even running it that long, but i was yesterday.

fawk, i guess i need to take it to a shop, this is annoying.

If you can have someone try and crank (key/ignition) while you tap the end of the starter slightly with a small mallet preferably wood or hard rubber....or with the handle of something......If the flywheel was messed up the starter would still kick in so it isnt that......

It can die for sure.....Not sure what kind of shape it was in but r2 it and see if the other starter works....Make sure everything is good (power, connections, etc) going to the starter before you go through the motions of removing it first......

Destin, I doubt you have spark, make sure you have power to the positive side of the coil with the key in the on position.Neg side of the coil goes to the distributer. With the key on,remove the dist cap and open the points with a screw driver(just move the points from open to closed position manually, with the coil wire placed near a ground, you should be able to get it to spark.Or just hold the coil wire near a ground and have someone crank to verify spark.I wish I was there,it would be running in 2 minutes!!!!Like Jim said a little fuel down the carb and it should fire quickly.no need to burn up the starter,Remember, fuel, spark, and compression is what it takes to run,you cant be missing any of these.Good luck:beer:

oy i need someone here that knows what they are doing, cause i am scared i will fawk this up more...

every thing was working perfectly, just needed the pump to work now s*** is jacked

Did you get the video links I pm'ed you? Those are good examples.

Maybe you need to boost it next time, and I agree with the above...go over one thing at a time, and check off your list. It ran before, so you know it works.

Better to learn your rig now then when you are out in the middle of nowhere

You can do it just fine Destin.....Just don't let it overwhelm you.....start little...post up what works, what doesnt.....you've got plenty of help with everyone here....
